Mint Dentistry Reviews

  • Nov 27, 2019

I was excited to try mint denistry because i hear their radio ads all the time & they always sound positive & the ads make it sound very affordable. I need to have a deep cleaning on my teeth so i called on monday - i don't have dental insurance - & i was told about the program they have for dental insurance for $30 a month through united health care. I was told after purchasing my insurance that my first bill with mint shouldn't cost more than $10 which sounded too good to be true but i went along with it.

I went wed. Morning for my x-rays, exam, & what i expected to be my teeth cleaning. Well, the prices were outrageous! they wanted $800 to do my teeth plus $2400 to give me 2 crowns. So i would have spent $3000 basically just to have my teeth cleaned! i could not believe it.

I just feel that their ads are extremely misleading & i left feeling very disillusioned & disappointed.

They were friendly & professional & all of that but the price was just ridiculous.

Mint Dentistry is absolutely the worst office I have been to! Let me just start by saying, that I never take the time to write reviews but I have been in pain for the last 3 weeks so I just could not keep it to myself. Mint Dentistry fills its office with massage chairs, flat screens, and all the bells and whistles, which I soon came to find are a way to get people in the door and a way to hide the fact that they no nothing about fixing teeth. I initially came in for a routine dental cleaning. I was having no pain and no sensitivity to anything. Upon leaving they informed me that I was going to need to have 3 crowns done. I trusted them so I booked my service. This facility prides itself on a fast turn around and getting as many patients in the door as possible. As a result in one visit you could have 3 different dentists working on you! There is no continuity in care! I had one dentist give me numbing medicine, one fit me for temporaries, and one actually put my crowns on! Each time I had to explain over and over what had been going on with my teeth and how I had been having extreme pain for several weeks. After I was fitted for my temporary crowns, I had to come back 3 times for a bite adjustment. I don't know about you moms out there, but I just don't have time in my day to keep coming back to get things fixed. I prefer to have things done right the first time!!! I continued to complain of pain and asked them to take X-rays to ensure I did not need a root canal, which they refused to do! They finally took X-rays at my last visit (my 6th during this whole process) and the uneducated doctors said that nothing looked "definitive enough" to determine if it was a root canal. They then prescribed me a steroid to take and said that if it was still hurting in a week that they would know it needed a root canal! I have never experienced anything like this before and I have had a lot of dental work done!! Needless to say, I am pretty sure I will be needing a root canal and I will not be returning to them for this service. Several thousands dollars later and I am still in pain!!!

DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST! DR. FEILD is a scam artist. First I scheduled an appointment to have a fill on one tooth, and their promotional free teeth whitening with PPO insurance. When I get to the back there is tons of blond bimbos who look fresh out of high school. They immediately began taking xrays of my teeth, and didn't bother to ask me what was the reason for my visit. There was a TV screen in front of me so I could see the reflection of ALL the people standing around waiting and watching as the dentist Feild attempts to sale me veneers. He also never asked the reason for my visit. he then started showing me all these ppl whom he has performed work on. He cuts the TV off then tell me he could change my teeth for 6 grand, and how I needed to have my gums pulled back etc!! Also the girls were all cosigning every word he said.At this point I'm thinking WTF!! So I tell him "I just came in to have a fill", he says well we going to see if your going to need a root canal first so let me review your xrays. He walked out and immediately the chick walks in with the clipboard of all these fees. Soooo she told me with my BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD PPO plan, that I would be out of pocket a total of $800! Then I asked her "well why is there a fee for the teeth whitening"...she says" well that's for the basic whitening but you will need a deep pocket cleaning! WTF! (By the way I have a beautiful smile and this is my very first cavity of 29 years.) Then another chick comes in to tell me how good of a price this is and I should listen to her. I got the heck out of there fast. I felt like I was at a tote the note car dealership with a jinky car salesman! Please do not use this dentist it was the craziest experience at a dentist ever. Are you sure you want to trust Mint with your teeth or your kids teeth? I will pass.
