Store owner ripping off customers with illegal sales and not refunding customers in a timely manner. Ripping me off of my paycheck and refusing to hand over my worked hours and taking my paychecks home with him.
This is his second or third business under bad business dealings.
Will someone please report him to the Department of Labor already? Dude's been cheating his employees probably since the beginning of time. Glad I dipped as soon as I saw red flags.
He claims not to be able to change the fact that the system used for clocking in/out automatically deducts an hour after 5 hours of work. Did not receive any of the specific training he promised. Not only that--training was NOT paid despite what the job description says online. I was basically paid $7 something/hr, nearly an entire dollar below minimum wage.
He's extremely cheap and money-grubbing. He's had a small claims court lawsuit filed against him because he wouldn't pay a pest control company $100-500 for their work.
He owns the eyesore, crackhouse looking building by North Independence Hwy in Inverness, and the property has had a lien put on it by the city because he wouldn't make repairs to it. In December 2017, the lien was at more than $15,300 and growing by $100 per day. As of January 2019, the lien had surpassed $61,000, and was accompanied by a smaller second lien of nearly $300 for unpaid water bills. Each day, the lien grows by another $100.
I loved my coworkers but this guy can go to hell. I really do miss this job because it would've been a great opportunity to get into the IT field and because my coworkers were so kind and easy to get along with, but this man had to ruin everything and not train me properly. I encourage my coworkers to report him to the DoL. But you have to contact the federal labor board because Florida does not handle labor issues and has abysmal labor laws. How else would he get away with paying his employees once a month, and only if they're lucky.
