Charles Fitch of Canton Michigan is currently running an arcade system sales and repair scam on YouTube. His YouTube Id's are Seller critic [2 of them] and eBay is a joke. Charles Fitch has been known as a scammer in our community for over 10 years. We have numerous posts about him on our forums and he is dangerous and manipulative. I will now describe several of his favorite repair scams
1) Fitch will take out an ad on craigslist saying he repairs cabinets and basically any game systems that are need of repair. He will convince the victim to ship him their system at their expense. Once Fitch receives the system or component, he will turn around and sell that same item, either on craigslist or online and pocket the proceeds. When the victim calls Fitch attempting to get their system or part back Fitch will tell them the part is broken and beyond repair. If the person continues to press the issue Fitch will block them from calling him.
He does not give them his personal phone number but rather a phone number from a disposable phone. This particular scam is what we in the industry call the "cabinet" Scam because Fitch has done this many times with cabinets of all types.
2) the repair scam. This is when fitch will take out an ad either on craigslist or online, saying he will repair your system for specific amount of money, let's say a service call of $50 Plus an additional $20 per hour thereafter. The way this works is Fitch will arrive at your house and say he needs to take your cabinet or gaming system back to his workshop as needs extensive repair. He will demand a payment of the first $50 at that time. Once he leaves you will not see him again. Fitch is especially fond of some of the older systems such as Sega SG-1000, Sega Master System and Atari XEGS. Once Fitch leaves your house with your system you will never see it again.
3) The Multi level marketing scam. Fitch's Visual offer to promote your gaming system, your gaming business, your arcade, or your repair facility had a modest cost. Fitch will promise and guarantee to have your business in search within 24 hours he will guarantee you thousands of sales leads. He will be claiming to be associated with Amazon tech and gaming which is of course not true. He will ask your personal information, Credit card information and bank account number saying he needs these items to facilitate payment. Please do not give him any information whatsoever.
Past history: Charles Fitch has scanned thousands of people in the arcade industry having we have established a forum just to discuss this. Fitch often comes into our forums in an effort to disrupt our businesses. We blocked him but he continually creates fake IDs the fake accounts in order to gain access to our site.
Fitch was also arrested locally four three fake charity scams. One involved an elected official and 2 involved faith and fraudulent Business ventures.
Fitch likes to make videos on YouTube and has conservatively speaking 100 fake user IDs. The only YouTube accounts where you actually shows his face other two seller credit accounts and possibly the eBay is a joke account if he still has that.
Fitch was busted on the local news and inducted into the hall of shame by local reporter. Fitch then turned around and try to sue the reporter, his producer, as well as three of his past victims. Needless to say Fitch lost every single case.
Recently myself and one of our Community members made a video showing how to repair arcade systems. Charles Fitch immediately attacked us and tried to tarnish how our reputation as Successful arcade businessmen.
If you have any doubts about these claims just Google ''Chuck Fitch Canton Michigan'' or ''Chuck Fitch eBay is a joke''
Our arcade businesses are built on trust. This is a community of trust. When one person inches our community to commit fraud it hurts for all of us collectively. Do not do business with Charles W Fitch on the any circumstances.
