I had been seeing these ads for some time before I decided to open the page and see what they had to offer. In the past year I've filled a cart, then didn't make the purchase. I shopped several times on their site, MILAMODE.com and inevitably something would come up in the middle of my transaction. So I've left the webpage on several occasions with nearly $200 worth of clothing items in my cart each time.

I'm not relieved that it wasn't a large purchase that I got burned on (the Ole Bait-and-Switch) business practice.

last month around the 23rd of November 2021, I was looking through their deals yet again. I had finally settled on a small purchase of a (what appeared to be a comfortable outfit) matching shorts and shirt, both in XXXL size with Jesus graphics on both. So I pulled the trigger so-to-speak, on this one item with two pieces. Total in my cart online from MILAMODE.com was confirmed at about $32.00 smackers/dollars US.

Quite simply, the order was confirmed via my personal Email and I figured it should be on its way shortly. After a week went by. My tracking info hadn't been generated yet via Email. So I opened a chat. They informed me that it would be soon, I'd have tracking data sent to my inbox. It didn't come...

I then returned to chat a few days later (since my wife works in the fulfillment industry) to start a more in depth inquiry. I was surprised to be informed that my items were delayed in a fulfillment center in China. Location unknown by the customer care person on the chat.

At this point in time(beginning of December 2021) I had received a total of 3 Emails from MILAMODE customer care. I was informed earlier in a chat with them that, items had to sit in a customs facility in China until they could be released for shipment. Upon further digging (which a customer shouldn't have to do) I found new info that said my order could take nearly 20 days to ship to my door. Now that's not my frustration nor why I'm writing this down...

Although shipping was stated a much shorter timeframe upon completing my purchase originally, and it did take longer than the newly discovered 15-20 days shipping. When I finally received my package here in the good ole USA, you can't imagine what I'd find.

I was so excited to show my wife the new clothes. Carefully opening the plastic mailer it was sent in. I pulled out the top T-shirt and at 1st glance, it wasn't right, not at all.

The graphics are very blurry, like they'd pirated this particular picture at MILAMODE and transferred them to another garment. Nothing like the ad, nowhere near the quality of the item in their pictures. Same with the bottoms. Then came the fitment...

Nothing doing! Could not even pull the T-shirt over my pecs! I thought; "how absurd!" All this time waiting and the top is not even close to a XXXL. Tried the shorts, and sure enough, they are so far from correct that it's not even funny.

So, I know, bad grammar. I write this today not so much for myself, but for those of you who might be thinking about an online purchase from these nice folks at MILAMODE.com

But wait! There's more...

Just moments before taking up the task to inform you all about above mentioned company online. I went to the BBB Better Business Bureau's online site (since I knew of ripofffreport for years now, and most certainly checked to see if any report had been made on here of above mentioned online clothing company) because to date, I hadn't seen any write up of MILAMODE on here, hence my 1st purchase was unhindered.

On the BBB's website these folks at MILAMODE came up with multiple complaints and frustrated customers. All of which had no resolve in their returns or exchanges. If perhaps the BBB was looking favorably at MILAMODE, I might have reconsidered.

But, once again, this is not for me personally. Rather, it's for the next consumer that has never heard of this company before. Go ahead and plug them in at the BBB. The Better Business Bureau rates this company at a SOLID "F" Rating.

So I humbly got burned by them. All the while, the customer care person sends you/me chasing our tail with ridiculous things to perform for them, such as; "take a picture of the item and send it to us" seriously! The chat person even tried to go sideways on me with dialogue that indicates the purchase was for one item, when in fact the item is a 2 piece outfit (Drawstring shorts and matching T-shirt) And since the person on the other end of our chat, was staring directly at the ad, I didn't even engage.

Before I wrap this up, I need to mention that it's my experience, having spent many years in retail and around clothing in a department store. That these men's garments they show in their MILAMODE ads w/male models, are in fact women's garments! It's my opinion that they have a motherload of overstock in women's blank garments and they are trying to off them on unsuspecting male consumers.

Fortunately, my wife and I have a donation large enough of other clothing, we can give to a great charity here in Southern California. This outfit will be a blessing to their woman's clothing section in the thrift store side of things.

Lastly, I am relieved that I didn't get taken for hundreds of dollars plus be out the garments and return shipping costs and have ulcers and headaches and nausea and confusion with derision, chasing our tails with these people at MILAMODE.com and yet...............I'm not at all happy with their smug practice of burning decent folks like all of these unsuspecting consumers who wrote into the BBB website with legitimate complaints like mine, yet some were worse off monetarily for their efforts.
