We hired these guys back at the end of July or so to repave our driveway. They told us to wait up to 30 something hours before putting any vehicles on so we waited 2 full days instead. Immediately after driving on it it has started falling apart it has potholes where the gravel or asphalt did not set properly the vehicles are also now sliding down the driveway due to the asphalt falling apart and the steepness.
We informed him within days of the project of the issues and he said he would come look at it. It took him at least a week plus to come back out and look at it. Here we are will be going on 2 months soon and he has still not repaired it even though he acknowledged it was done improperly and that he needed to redo it.
Furthermore we have checked with him every week since then that he is supposed to have been doing the repair work and every time he gives us a new excuse then we give them till the next week. He constantly has a new excuse for not showing up when he says hes going to do it, one of them which I can't believe he had the audacity to tell us was that hes trying to get other jobs done and he really doesn't have to do anything for us hes just trying to do us a favor.
Ohh and also that he just doesn't want to ruin his reputation, lol. Too late , look here on Google at his reputation. What kind of professional contractor is that ignorant? So here we are we've given him 3 options 1, to finish it by certain day before new renters come in. 2, to refund our money in full and give us the insurance that he claims to have had before he started the project so that we can file a claim and get the driveway done properly by a competent contractor or 3, which is the one I'm expecting him to choose, we will have to sue him and have another contractor redo it anyways which will end up ultimately being at his cost.
It's so sad, he talks a good game when he shows up and plays that good ole boy routine where you think you've got someone honest, and instead once check as in hand you never hear from again. Learn from our mistake and don't be the next person to get suckered. As a US Marine SSGT I have always been taught when a man gives you his word that's all hes got in life, this guy gave us his word so many times that it's comical he can look himself in the mirror.
Nothing but a bullshi*ter! We now even have to have the investigators for the North Carolina licensing board involved to utilize their homeowners recovery fund due to he is a licensed contractor not performing work properly. It's so unfortunate that we have to take all these steps that will take forever and pay out of our pocket again to fix his mistakes just to come to the ultimate conclusion that he will end up owing for everything anyways when we are done with this company.
Apparently now his machines are broken and his crews have quit, that is his newest excuse, always something with this guy. I hope the owner is reading this too, he does work for county and I'm going to make sure to get those departments involved too so that they know what's going on. What a con artist!
