Man advertising in craigslist to be a mobile mechanic Contacted him via text and gad a few phone conversations. Discussed pricing and mafe an arrangement for him to come fix my car a few days later at my home. Had my husband there just to make sure he wasent some crazy killer. He looked at the car semi fixed a few things and then said he has a commercial account at a local auto parts place because he used to own a shop a few years back. He called the place right in front of me and got prices. We discussed pricing and which was 110.00 and his labor fees another 60 bucks. There was only minor things to be fixed so it sounded reasonable. The scamming jerk came to my house with four of his kids in the car and his girlfriend so he seemed trustworthy. He told me he would have to go get the parts and called back the store to order them. He said he needed at least half the money to go get the parts, wrote me up a detailed contract and stupid me gave him 80.00. He said he would be back in 30 minutes. After about an hour we texted each other back and forth and he had one excuse after the other why he was so late. Finally he stopped responding. I read on here he has scammed others as well. He needs to be stopped. I already have a warrent put out for his arrest and personally went to his house but he wasent there. Something needs to be done about this scamming fool.
Mike advertised on 'Nextdoor’ as a handy man. Called him about putting on a storm door and building a ground deck. He came over and we talked about the job. He said he would need money for the door and money to buy materials for the deck. He took the money. Then, he never showed. When I called him, he had excuses, but said he would be there at a specified date and time. This happened numerous times, but he never showed. Finally, I said to refund money. He said he would bring it by the house. Again, never showed, and had various excuses.
