This man shops around in newly developed neighborhoods and prey on good honest hardworking people. He and his crew were given half the money up front to start two projects. The crew completed one and started on the second one. It was it this time Miguel ranged the doorbell stating that he needed the other half of the money to get additional supplies needed to complete the concrete side walk. His team dug up the yard, laid rebar and the wood frame for the pour so I had no reason to doubt that he was up to any funny business. I gave him the remaining money due under the pretense to purchase supplies to complete the job the next day.
Needless to say I never saw the liar again. I kept calling and for a time (after Christmas) he claimed to have been in the hospital. I gave him the benefit of the doubt with COVID and all, but then I realized he was lying. He also ripped off my neighbor in the same manner. I continued to call and text and the liar would communicate with me. When I did get him on the phone he would set dates and times of when he, his brother and son were going to show up to complete the job. This happened multiple times.
One day I saw his crew working at another house I stopped and approached them damanding they call him and of course they pretended not to understand English. I knocked on the residents door and told them NOT to pay them until the work was complete. She mentioned that someone else on her street had a problem with him as well and told her exactly what I told her.
