Midland credit management should be shut down and closed up. They are committing fraud and reporting my accounts as new accounts and different information. I have asked for them to delete them and they refused to do so. I have called them and they are harrassing and rude and i even reported them to the fcra and the bbb but these crooks will do anything to keep committing fraud. They are evil to the core and they will flag your account and create new accounts using existing older accounts.
Don't trust equifax or transunion or experian as they have been notified and they are all in this together. It is time that the us goverment and we the people need to stand up and protest this. They are commited many errors and it is not right as we have no say so to what and how they do people. Laws need to be changed and this company needs to be fined and stopped!
I have contacted the white house to seek awareness of this situation as well! i am hoping that the scamion will and can make this aware and i will keep exposing this company as they continue to do what they want to do at my expense!
This company is shameless! Initially, I thought it was an empathetic company, who had purchased a debt I owed to Synchrony Bank (Amazon).
I know that the Synchrony Bank Card is a legitimate debt. That is why I entertained the idea that they were sincere in helping me to get back
on track with my payments. I fell behind on this card when my mom became critically ill and I was taking care of her in Hospice care for (7) months!
I just literally lost track of anything I had to focus on, except prior to that, i paid more than my monthly payments, but always as agreed. My best friend (Mom) was my primary focus during that time! Well she passed seven months later and I was extremely depressed. ( I am still in mourning...but functioning now!) I received a call from MCM about a month or so after her funeral. The guy who contacted me was not rude, and I was informed that the company had purchased my account from Synchrony Bank. I was now supposed to deal directly with them. I told him I did not have the means to pay the debt off in full. I was told they would work it out with me where it would be manageable. I agreed to the payment to get the first and second payments and then would be on a scheduled monthly payment. I did inform them I was not yet working but looking for a position and may be able to begin regular modified payments as agreed.
Then the drama begins! I did sign the authorization to allow deductions from my account on the agreed one payment a month.
Then I get a call ( from the same Midland Credit Management) who now has access to my bank information! So they pull a duo team tag on me. The guy who had initially gained my confidence to pay the legitimate bill (or whatever you want to call it. It wasn't that much when I last paid the bill, but since I lost track of it, I figured there would be additional interest charges. But even that should not have been that much more!)
They now said I owe on a CreditOne Credit Card! That account offered me a $250.00 check to deposit into the credit card account, because any charge I ever made was "ALWAYS" paid off so no interest charges would accrue. They made me the offer for the money, because of my "great" paying history! I NEVER cashed or deposited that check! I did not need the funds and did not want any additional debt. I had less than 125.00 balance on that card. But now that MCM has the debt, I now owe....according to them over $1200.00!! They told me if I would pay a little bit on it, they would come back and just forgive the fabricated charges!! I told them I did not want to pay that account a dime, because that is fraudulent what they have done! They began taking UNAUTHORIZED PAYMENTS out of my account EVERY WEEK!! I have alerted my bank to this situation, but one of the actions was a transfer -SOMEHOW they were able to transfer, NOT debit money out of my account!!! How is that legal? I called them and no one called me back about it either! I don't know how companies are allowed to just squash consumers and get away with their dirt!!
This notification was received by my neighbors, who don't speak English. It was for a former homeowner, and they haven't lived there in at least 10 years. The grandma brought it to me, and I said I would take care of it.
I looked up the company information online first, then called the phone number that was on the envelope's return information. (Note -- they sent it through UPS instead of the United States Postal Service, bypassing the mail fraud laws.)
The gentleman I spoke with was curteous, and the conversation was preceeded with a long verbal notification that we were being recorded and all information could be used in a lawful manner. I explained that I was calling on behalf of the neighbor receiving the letter, and that the intended recipient had not lived there in at least 10 years. I gave him the name on the envelope, and he could not locate the account in their records. I suggested he search for it by the address, and he still could not find it. Then he asked me to write on the outside of the envelope that the person no longer lived there, and to return it. He stressed that they would need it back.
To me, this looks like a phishing scam to get money from my former neighbor. It was sent in a UPS Express Next Day Air envelope, and looking up the rates online, it is showing it would cost over $70. If they invested that much, why would they not have a record of name and/or address?
This company called my father in laws house repeatedly looking for my husband who has never lived there and they just got a new phone number 2 months ago. My husband contacted the company which refused to tell him anything about the supposed debt owed unless he gave them his SS# which he did not. This company hung up on him 3 times and then the 4th time they admitted to calling and that he had a 100,000.00 debt. He had recienctly had his credit run due to the fact that we were going to purchase a home. Amazingly enough his credit is good enough to purchase a home with no money down. There are tons of comments online about how this company scams people out of money and then when they get caught they refuse to return the money. Be wary of this business.
