Mid-West National Life Insurance Company of Tennessee Reviews
Sep 21, 2017
A policy was purchased from Health Markets (aka Mid-West Life Insurance Company of Tennessee). This policy was part of a national small business group. For an additional monthly fee, I purchased a "Return of Premium Rider." Basically, if the the preimums were paid regularly for 15 years (until I reached age 65) I would receive the premium payments back minus any claims. At about year 12, the insurance company cancelled all the policies in California; the company wanted to exit the insurance market in this state. Since I had not reached the end of the 15 year period I was not fully compensted and lost almost $12,000. Yes, you read that correctly - the company prevented me form completing the contract and then penalized me for not completing the contract.
Given the importance of insurance, it is imperative a company maintains the highest ethical values when dealing with their clients. I will leave it up to the reader of this post to determine if this organization meets this standard.
