My dad is 84 years old. He had a "cookie" pop up on his desktop telling him he had a virus. He didn't. The telephone number went to Microtechnologies - who told him they were Microsoft. They charged him $3000 for software to fix his computer, which wasn't broken.
They told him his American Express didn't work, so they needed his Visa - which they told him didn't work, so they got his Checking Account Numbers. They did not put Norton Anti Virus on his computer (which they said they would), they took my dad's picture... we've now put alerts on all of his credit.
We've changed all banking information. Now they are still calling him to do more work! They are Scamming Old People, and that is beyond Wrong. This is a Rip Off.
