Michelle Russo of Anchorage, Alaska is solely responsible for the horrific and cruel death of my dog, Duncan on June 20th 2015
1) She insisted and was very persistent in telling me to trust her to watch my dog, while I went to my 2nd Yoga class. My dog was fine in my car, where I intended to keep him, but Michelle was very bold in telling me to allow her to watch him. She said this in front of cu...stomers and the owner of the Yoga business.
2) While I was in class, my dog (Duncan) did in fact get out the business door. Michelle chased him and never told me he got out until my class ended. She then came over to me and said, "We've been trying to catch your dog, he got out a while ago." He was already on the other side of the highway (Minnesota road-5 lane), when she did tell me.
3) 24 hours after I searched for my dog, with hired help and putting up posters, a man brought Duncan over to me in a bag and handed me his collars. he told me the 1st car drove over Duncan and kept going and then 2 more cars drove over him after that. I went over to the Yoga class some time after that and Michelle came over to me, as I handed her a letter for her and the owner. I said to her "You know my dog was killed". Michelle carelessly and non-chalantly said "I heard". (No apologies, nothing) It has been almost 2 months and still nothing !
As was written in her profile, when she was working at the Yoga business, Michelle loves hunting. It has nothing to do with me why she is not there anymore but because of her arrogant snotty treatment towards customers that stopped going because of her attitude towards them. I recently heard she works at a strip joint....I really don't care what she does, however, my dog meant the world to me and the least she couold have done was show empathy and compassion for what happened to this sweet, innocent animal that had already come from a horrible life and the just as his life got better for 4 months, had to end so tragically. Following is the conversation before I allowed this evil woman to watch my dog...My Big Mistake...I didn't ask her to nor wanted her to...but she was so bold and determined to which makes me wonder if she did it on purpose.
Duncan was watching me in the car window through the Yoga Business window. Michelle said "Bring him in to see him" So, I did (so happy with him) I had him on his leash. I told Michelle, I had just rescued him from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles and had flown down there to get him. Shelter said he was 12 but the Rescue who grabbed him said he was 8 and charged me 400 (he was worth every penny). He was made to be an emotional support dog , which I did for his flight back to Alaska. Duncan was in the high kill for 5 months and his life was abuse and abandonment before that. He had separation anxiety issues from what happened to him. Michelle said "Don't put him back in the car, we're dog friendly" , as I was heading out to put him back in the car. I told Michelle, "I'm afraid he'll get out your door." Michelle said "Don't worry, my son will watch him" Her son looked 7 or 8 years old and I said "No, that's alright." Then Michelle said "I'll watch him ! Trust me, he'll be fine !" Again, I said "I just don't want him going out your door, at least keep the leash on him to prevent that." Again, Michelle said, "He doesn't need a leash, Trust me, your dog will be fine !" So, I reluctantly trusted Michelle, since she was very persistent to watch my dog. They deviated Duncans attention, while I went into the class, so he wouldn't cry outside the door. Duncan did not know where I was. During class, Duncan got out and Michelle didn't tell me. Duncan was running scared looking for me, feeling abandoned again. I ended up hiring a girl to help me find him and post posters of Duncan. We searched almost 24 hours until I received the call from a man that had Duncan. I thought alive, unfortunately that wasn't the case. I will forever hurt for what Duncans life was like and what this sweet innocent went through because of cruel, heartless people like Michelle that get away with evil deeds like this. She hunts and brags about it...if I had known she was like this, I would have never let her watch my dog. I wish I could change the ending but unfortunately I have to live with this horrific and tragic story, while this arrogant, self-absorbed woman continues to hurt animals and people. Pure Evil !
