I was referred to the physiotherapist Michael Vadiveloo for lower back treatment by my GP who said he uses a lot of force but gets results! Another therapist who worked with him confirmed he uses a lot of force. He ended up tearing my hamstring tendon by negligently yanking my entire body by the foot when I was seated on the table with my leg in a stretched position.
I immediately felt something tear in the region of my right hamstring tendon origin. While walking home I felt weakness at the top of my right hamstring with every step, and this continued for months. From that day I also experienced pain around the right hamstring origin when sitting. I had never before experienced any pain or weakness in that area.
I went back to see Michael Vadiveloo the next day to tell him about the pain and weakness I was experiencing as a result of him yanking my leg. But he deliberately never made notes about my report of pain and weakness, and now he denies ever yanking me by the foot.
An MRI scan showed a tear in the right hamstring tendon. Michael Vadiveloo denies having anything to do with the injury, and denies that I reported pain and weakness to him the following day.
This injury has cost me many thousands of dollars in treatment and I must do ongoing strengthening exercises just to be able to sit normally and be pain free. For a long time I couldn't sit at all.
