We rented from Michael Todd for two years. We lived in the smallest apartment at 15 Cliff Rd and we paid the highest electric bill than all of the other tenants; so, it's unlikely we were paying for just the one room. We had several holes around the apartment floors that were never fixed. As a result we always had mice. The bathroom toilet leaked for much of the entire stay requiring us to keep a mop and bucket there next to it. As a result it always smelled and had mold and mildew. The front door remained broken throughout our stay. We informed Michael Todd we'd need a larger place and found a place the first week of the month having to move out by the end of the month. We emptied the place and cleaned it forgetting to wipe down the fridge and left behind items that were left in by the landlord. Michael Todd throughout our stay consistently spoke harshly of his former tenants, so we did expect nothing less. Several times throughout our stay he failed to respond. He responded with we left it a mess and a sarcastic good luck in court. We accepted that we unfortunately, we're not able to give him a full thirty days notice and are responsible for losing the security deposit. However, he refused also to return our last month's rent after having paid for our last months rent. His behavior and responses are extremely unethical, he is very petulant and very unprofessional individual. His personal habits are that of disrespect and is certainly qualified as a "slumlord". Be aware of Michael Todd and only consider 15 Cliff Rd apartments if you poor and destitute as you'll be treated with the utmost disrespect and no matter how you move out you'll be just another story rumoured about town. We paid first, last, security and pet deposit and received nothing except a sarcastic "good luck". We are going to file in village court for our last months rent we paid upfront with the pet and security deposits and first month's rent two years ago. We'll let you know if we had "good luck".
