DO NOT LET THEM ON YOUR ROOF Metroplex Roof and Fence is such a terrible company, I don't know where to start. Let's start with the owner, Charles Chet Fairchild. This man is the most greedy, dishonest and scandalist person I have ever met. I know this because I used to work for them. He will tell you I am writing this report because I am angry with them, or lying about it or some other reason. I know this because every time we got a bad review when I wroked there he had a resason as to why it was written, and you guess it.... IT WAS NEVER HIS FAULT. Good luck getting a hold of him if you need something or if something is wrong with his company. He hides behind everyone. He is the biggest coward I have ever met. If you do get the "pleasure" of meeting him, he will NoT look you in the eye in fear that you will see his lies. Let's move on to the company and the way they conduct business shal we.

They train their employees to go out and get contracts and get them all hyped up with false promises, company credentials, lack of training on the claims process (for their own selfish reason- I'll get to that) and no safety training whatsoever on how to be OSHA conpliant on a roof. All of this is unethical and dangerous. If you come across a representative from this company and they tell you they are Plantinum Preferred with Owens Corning and have been in business for FIFTEEN YEARS... And other things (they have a book of lies they are supposed to show potentials customers) it probably isn't their fault, they don't know better because they believed their employer just like I did. I feel sorry for them. They have actually only been in business FIVE YEARS, they DO NOT carry the proper insurance if something were to go wrong on your roof (they carry the carpertners insurance which a lot of roofing companies have- it only protects siding and such. Basically anything UNDER the roof) the proper insurance is very expensive and they are cheap, scammers, and wouldn't protect their clients and employees of something were to happen. DO NOT LET THEM ON YOUR ROOF Let's get to the claims process- just in case you get into a contract with them. Let me start by saying most insurance companies are well aware of their scamming ways. They have already been investigated by Germania, State Farm and Allstate. There are others but I am unsure of them at this time and I don't want to provide false information. What they will do is get the adjuster to admit damage, then tell you they will be supplementing the claim (thy take forever doing this for a few reasons 1. They don't know what they are doing and 2. They are trying to scam your insurance company). They will collect insurance checks and will not do the work. I know this is true because I have a client that I got his roof approved and collected his insurance check in 2013 and they have yet to do ANYTHING with his roof or return his check. I feel really bad, but it is out of my control. That's just one example. Also be careful if you are using them because they will have you sign a contract, work order, secondary work order- those three for sure but there is a chance there will be more paperwork involved. They have been known to go back and write in on the original once they give you a carbon copy so be sure to obtain your copies for your own protection. Be careful on all of them, but especially on the work orders. I say this because they will NOT do all the work per insurance as they claim to do. However, they won't tell your insurance company that and they will FINAL INVOICE for the entire claim amount and then demand all the checks that insurance sends you. This is insurance fraud. They do this just to make a little extra. As far as employees are concerned, don't work for them! They owe every past employee and most current ones too commissions. Chuck Fairchild and Don Wells will come up with every excuse not to pay employees just to fatten their pockets with your hard earned money. One of two things will happen: you will A. Get sick of the lies and leave willingly with money on the table (which they prefer) or B. They will strong arm you out of working there when you have a lot of deals on the table. Either way Don Wells (general manager and almost as big of a scumb bag as Chuck) will call the clients and make up some lie why that employee is no longer employed there. Then he will be "the nice one" to come in and "finish up the claim" and "Clean up the mess". Please don't fall for this. Don can be quite convincing. I could go on, but I believe you have the point. If not and you still use them, I'm sorry in advance. I hope their practices and ethics change. I would be happy to provide a list of unsatisfed customers along with a list of past employees to let you know how they truly conduct business. If this can save just one person from going through what I have seen many others go through it was well worth my time.

A representative of Metroplex Roof and Fence states that the allegations are false. Judge for your self.

Charles Fairchild was arrested 6/15/17 for Ripping People Off. http://justice1.dentoncounty.com/PublicAccess/JailingSearch.aspx?ID=400

Hopefully, Justice will be served. Thanks to those brave and diligent individuals that came together to expose this crook there is a chance for justice.

Received payment for the services we rendered and are now not making payment or answering our calls. In May of 2016, Wes, a salesman for Metroplex Roof and Fence contacted us to give a bid for replacement windows for one of their existing customers. In late July 2016 Wes contacted me and let me know that the customer was ready to purchase the windows. James met with Brad, the project manager, and they signed the contract and got a check for $8,739.25 which was half of the total of the job. The windows came in and were installed on September 8, 2016. The customer paid Metroplex Roof and Fence upfront for the total of the replacement windows. Despite that fact, upon completion of the job, no one would answer the phone. Neither Wes nor Brad work for the company any. James went up to the office in Corinth and spoke with George, the office manager, and Shea, the accounts payable person. At first they tried to deny knowing about the job and denied having ordered the windows. Then, upon showing them the deposit check (signed by Shea) and the signed contract they claimed they only could give us $2,000.00 that day and would give us the remaining $4,633.00 the following Friday. On Friday, September 16th, again no one would answer my phone calls. I blocked my number and I finally got Stephanie to answer the phone. She claimed everyone was "in a meeting." I requested to speak with Chuck Fairchild and she stated he was on a 5 week vacation in Mexico. Metroplex Roof and Fence was paid in full for services we delivered and have made every attempt to avoid paying us what is owed.

BEWARE - they will take your insuarnce check and never complete the work

We hired this company to install our new roof . The BBB now rates these creeps C+ looking closer they have 7 complaints? If you search the web you will get a much different picture of this company. Anyways to get to the point, We hired Metroplex Roof and at first glance everything seemed very professional, our sales guy showed up in a company shirt, nice cards, and good information. We were sold. They said they could get our roof replaced with nothing out of pocket, which come to find out is illegal!

The scheduled day came that we were suppose to get our new roof and from the start it was Bad! They showed up very very early before 7:00am and we had people sitting outside our house. The rest of the day went fairly painless until the end when we were told that they were all finished up. Well there was a problem they still had not performed all the work that our insurance had paid for. Our insurance paid to replace other parts of our roof such as the vents etc, (we could still see hail dents in the vents, they had just painted over them. Our insurance clearly said that they were to be replaced) We questioned Metroplex Roof on why they had not replaced all these other things and they said that they did not need to be replaced they were in pretty good shape. We asked them if they would be billing for these things and we were told that they already had??? How do you bill for something you didn't do???

Well to make a very long story short, Our roof is leaking and no one from this company will return our calls, We still have the same old vents, drip edge and water proof paper or felt paper etc. Do Not Use This Company They Are Cheats! Look around the web, from the looks of things they have a bad habit of ripping people off!

UNETHICAL - DO NOT USE THESE BABOONS

Metroplex Roof and Fence: Complete Incompetence. Deceptive, Unethical. The worst of it all they placed the WRONG shingles on our home and have refused to correct their mistakes

Started in June 2015 with initial assessment and meeting insurance agent with Jason. Got insurance approval and they agreed to do ALL work as noted by/paid by insurance.

Metroplex Roof and Fence absorbed our deductible and let us pick out shingles. They did not start work for weeks after they promised in part due to a lot of rain. They did come by to do a temporary patch to prevent further interior water damage.

Finally work began and permanent repairs were made after weeks of calls. They completed the back side of our roof by the time I arrived home; it was too dark to see. When I left next morning they were removing front but couldn't see new shingles yet because it was blocked by debris. When arrived home the roof was already done but husband noted immediately wrong shingles, nothing like chosen and specifically the ones we said CLEARLY did not want.

They had also removed a skylight that wasn't damaged and replaced with new, but correct type- tinted and brown trim. Then hadn't changed other three skylights needed. Jason acknowledged mistakes, said we'd talk about shingles after all work was completed. They then put on cheap white/silver skylight where we had 2 tinted, brown ones and still didn't replace large skylight that was leaking stating it had been ordered. Jason told George he got cheap skylights at Lowes just to get done.

We had already had trim replaced and painted on our own and waiting for gutters to be replaced. We removed gutters, not them. After multiple phone calls was told that Jason was setting everything up, now over two months into project. I request supervisor, George came, and reviewed entire home. Saw all incomplete work, including gutters which had been measured two weeks prior. Admitted skylights looked horrible and would be replaced. Noted all screens and interior water damaged ceilings. George acknowledged that contract clearly stated shingles and they were definitely the wrong shingles and no one had us verify them prior to putting on. He stated Nathan had been assigned now and would come talk with me and George would speak with his partner about the shingles.

I told him if they weren't going to give us fair compensation to keep the wrong shingles on(which now required us to repaint all the newly painted trim to try to match, still waiting to finish painting entire house because of them) then I wanted shingles replaced to match exactly what the contract says. One week later Nathan came did the same walk around, stated he would get on all of the unfinished projects. The gutter people showed up without notice and I was not home stating they were not only doing gutter that were covered by insurance but the gutter we had discussed on interior portion of home that had flooded. I told him that the discussion was hypothetical r/t cost and I did not want anything until they gave me an estimate on the additional costs.

When I got home there was gutter installed on the insured area and ALL of the other area I did not agree to- but I had no bill either. Was later told the roofing company was doing it "for free".

Weeks have now gone by (October 2015), no one has come to do any more work, screens are still off or damaged; back skylight broken, 2 are incorrect, no interior repair done.

The total for work NOT completed $3,630.14. The cost to have shingles removed and replaced $19,797.80.

We have paid them the majority of the initial bill while retaining around $7,000 until completion. I have called several times and told first they were going to get out here and then that they were discussing compensation for shingle mistake instead of replacing. Then they called to offer $1500 only for shingles color. My husband said that was not enough.

They haven't called for about 3 weeks and now when we called they stated they were not going to do any of the work unless we agreed to the $1500 offer to compensate us for our entire roof being roofed with an ugly, unacceptable shingle. I have told them that I am very sick and need the interior work completed immediately for health reasons and they have not returned any call or come out to do work.

We want the work completed immediately and fair compensation for those ugly shingles. They are 100% responsible, it would cost over $19,000 to remove and replace. They can pay a portion as compensation or they can put on the correct shingles for original payment. It is not our fault they made such a costly mistake and we should both be about 50% satisfied. I do not want to be billed for gutters I did not ask to have installed although I would consider paying a reduced fee to cover labor as I do think that gentleman did a very good job
