Metro Construction were contracted to replace the roof, gutters and down pipes and repair damaged areas after a hail storm. The roof was replaced they demanded Payment without completing the remaining works. After I reminded them the gutters, and down pipes had not been replaced they sent their contractor to replace those items. They subsequently advised me they had completed all the residual works and they were paid in full. I put the house up for sale and the inspection found: Down pipes had not been attached to the walls; Gutters were holding water; Gutter were replaced using off cuts from other projects and leaked; Gutter slopes were away from the down pipes; Gutter Extensions were not installed causing water to pool close to the house foundation; Gutters were not painted to the original color. Causing mismatched paint. Debris was left everywhere, on the roof, bushes, lawns, drive way, side walks and porch to mention a few. As a consequence I got to punctures. Call after call after call resulted in Alex turning up to inspect and remove the debris from the roof when there was almost a foot of snow on it. He’s the only roofer that travels without a ladder. He promised and promised to return and didn’t. He didn’t remove the debris as he couldn’t get on the roof without a ladder and because of rh snow. They sent a new gutter installer that did half the work continues to promise to return and doesn’t. Emailed and called Metro Construction they continue to promise to have some one contact me. They don’t. My house sale did not go through. I’ve now sued them to recover the cost of the repairs needed to complete their work. My experience in particular with Alex is I don’t think he’s capable of telling the truth about anything. A terrible, time consuming and expensive contractor that is incapable of completing its contracted work. I would not use them again for anything.
