In December 2021 I called them and got an estimate after they started cleaning my daughters home in Mountain Brook Alabama. They came once in late December but prior to their first visit they four times were given my correct phone number and all four times failed to correct it and it was over a month before they finally got my phone number right and all their systems so for a month they called and texted the wrong phone number.
Luckily they had the correct email so I did get their correspondence but it was very frustrating how many times I had to correctly give them my phone number a company that has been in business this long should be able to manage collecting a simple phone number.
They were going through some staffing changes one person have been fired one person was retiring and it was obvious to me and anybody that called them that there was some employment issues going on. They described their service to me as a super clean on the first visit and then on subsequent visits they would do a regular clean but in particular I needed that first super Duper clean.
I gave them permission to come on December 21. They came and it was a disaster it was nothing like what I expected and I was very disappointed. They were supposed to come again on January 5 but they canceled at the last minute due to Covid and staff shortages. I communicated my displeasure with their first visit and said it was nothing like I thought it was going to be and they assured me that on the next clean they would make it all better.
Merry Maids are the worst people I have used since moving out here. They are unprofessional and their employees are very incompetent. The first time they came out, I called to complain and they sent another team to redo the work of the first team. It wasn't good at all. Then the lady from one of the teams didn't understand what I said about locking the door. I was disturbed while running errands and told that they didn't know how to lock the door. In addition to their work not being good, their employees smell like ashtrays. The smell was awful. They don't clean well and they rush thru the house. It's a bad attempt at a decent Cleaning job. I've never had such a bad experience nor have I had to have my house redone so many times due to poor Cleaning by a company. Not only are the employees inexperienced but the staff at the office has awful customer service too. They illegally charged my card because they cannot do good work. They are dishonest and don't use them. If u want to waste money or have a bad Cleaning job; then this is the company for you. Don't use them. They are awful. Stay away! I hope everyone stays away from this business. They are scanners and a fraud. They illegally charged my card and had no authorization.
