Merit Service Solutions refuses to pay contractors for work completed, they make excuses (we haven't been paid by the company) ... and they keep putting contractors off for weeks and months. We have been waiting over 60 days for a plowing contract payment. We were supposed to be paid on the 15th of each month and it is now over two months past due and no one at the company will return calls or emails.
Do not work for them as they will not pay you ... demand payment upfront or don't take the contract - contractors will always get screwed by this company. Those hiring Merit Service Solutions should know that as a company they DO NOT pay their subcontractors and customers are likely to end up in the middle of a blizzard with no one to plow them out - because of non-payment.
We plowed a few parking lots for merit service solitons. Every payment to Us has been late and now they have stopped paying us. They keep promising us checks but they never come... We have worked with brick man, and spring wise in the past with no complaints they always paid us.
Merit Service Solutions is a property management company for Kohls. We are a snow plowing and snow removal company and are contracted by Merit Service Solutions to remove snow from the Kohls in Manchester, CT. Getting paid on a timely manner from this company has been a constant battle. We have contacted many people through out the company to receive our last payment which is now 120 days past due. They have acknowleded that all work has been completed but fail to pay their vendors. We have completed all nesscary work and went above and beyond our services and we have not received our final payment of our signed contract.
Looking further into other contractors that also work for Merit Service Solutions, they have had the same problems with payments. Vendors please be advice. Our company will no longer be doing any more work for Merit Service Solutions.

No matter how many times you call and how many people you are shuffled around to, they give you the run around for months and months and months until you just give up. We do work for several management companies. Most of them you have to be very careful with, but Merit is by far the worst of all of them. You will never be able to get paid for your work with them and it is definitely by design. It is theft. VENDORS BEWARE! DO NOT WORK FOR MERIT!
Was contacted in Sept of 17 to service a Lowe's for snow removal. At thanksgiving the contract was still not in place. We started plowing without a signed contract because their portal, where you report the work, didn't . had to shell out 1800 to up our insurance, and put on a used pusher to make shire we would hold up our end. Call after call goes unanswered. I call now just to fill up their mailboxes. My account exes message says he will return the call by the end of the next business day. 13 straight days I called, no response. NOW WE GET AN EMAIL,, STOP DOING WORK FOR LOWES. THEY LOST THE ACCOUNT??, WONDER WHY. NOT. So we are out money time and haven't seen a some. Had to refile all invoices with them but no one will return or take calls. Something smells fishy. Wish I had seen these other posts before I got involved. Merit if you see this, pay up or I WILL BE VISITING PENNSYLVANIA. For the rest of you Do not get involved with them. If no one works for them they will disappear and no one else will get screwed by them. Pass the word.......
