Mercedes-Benz of Marietta Reviews

  • Feb 5, 2023

The majority of my conversations were via texts to the service advisor -Ahmad. The battery was replaced on July 27, 2022 with a costs of $588.92. I drove the car home from the dealership. In mid-August 2022, I attempted to crank the car and the key would not even insert. My husband charged it with his battery charger and upon it reading 100%, he only got the engine to turn over.

I called them in November 2022 and told them in which they asked me to have it towed in. I had to follow up on the vehicle both times; no effort was made to initially contact me. They ended up telling me it was the battery and it would need to be replaced but it would not be covered by any warranty (which I never had been given). They said it was due to outside influence - initially they said it was due to water coming into the car, then it was due to the after market radio, which I never turned, then due to wires in the back. None of these made sense.

The reason there was a delay in contacting them from August to November was because we never thought it could be the new battery and we were saving money in anticipation of a costly repair. My husband spoke with Ahmad and then Jacob, the service manager, who were not willing to assist us in any way. I finally contacted the Corporate Office and spoke to a lady named Hona who did absolutely nothing but offer her agreement with the dealership's response.

I feel no reasonable person would find buying a new battery every 4 months at Mercedes cost acceptable. They gave me the impression that maybe they did something they were not supposed to do and do not want to claim responsibility. The last thing - when the tow driver brought the car back, he said to me, "I'm not certain why you had the car there, but I drove it right onto by truckbed". This told me at one point they did seem to have it working as when the tow driver first arrived there, he had to return in an hour due to them needing time to put the battery back in my car. When we went out to try to crank the car the day after it was towed home, it would not crank but someone had left the driver's window down that we had to patch up to prevent any inside damage. So, at some point this car did crank. I believe this dealership has been deceptive to me from the beginning.
