I received a phone call from that person and had never heard from them before. I do not owe any money and the number they gave me was 1 866 896 5257 to call them . I did and told that person i will report them to the feds if they call me again. The number belongs to a person in NY actually they have more then one number. I did not give them any info, since I will not give anybody private info over the phone. I believe this is a scammer and I owe anything then send me a letter. Thank you
Mercantile Adjustments Bureau contacted me 5 years ago trying to collect a debt. The debt was a credit card bill from Citi Bank. it was in the amt. of 13,600.00. I agreed to pay 200.00 per month and did so. I owe 500.00 more untill the debt is paid in full. The reason I could not pay Citicard off was my husband was out of work due to 9/11.
MERCANTILLE is now saying I owe them another $26,568.10. When I called they was this amount was all interest. Please help! Can they really do this?
