I purchased the $10 raffle to receive $70 off. I was stoked, because I co-own a Spa in Oakland so this was a trial, with the hopes of entering into a wholesale agreement with Melanin Doll Hair. I purchased the affordable tight curly hair because my natural hair has very similar mini ringlets, and is 29 years old, I’ve mastered curly hair care. So I receive the bundles and two are super curly, and the longer length is more of a loose curl :( okay not happy because it can go at the bottom. This hair is mad nappy yo!! Like my Kenya dolls hair!! Like with conditioner!!!I needed to brush it with a paddle brush and wish conditioner yo! Even when buying Ali Express to make wigs I neeeever had go paddle brush this hair out the pack yo. I sent them an email on the lengths and the concern in texture and received no response.. I sent a follow-up email and they responded assuring me this was hair from China, and requested I tell them my regimen.
I did tell them my regimen, and they assured me this hair was not made in China and did not address any of my texture feedback. I then sent a follow-up email stating that all in all, I am not happy with this hair etc. and never received a response. This has happened in the past and I never ask for a refund because I don't need my money back. I was, however, expecting ownership. This is why folks always talk about Afro American owned hair companies!! Overpriced... customer service sucks!! Like I’m writing this feedback publicly to share my 100% accurate and true experience. I was expecting... hello there so you purchased the affordable hair, which means the hair fell off the truck in Brazil and lions mated on it, followed by a sandstorm.. so please don’t expect this hair to last longer than the TSA line at the airport. The affordable hair is making a wig for the Beyoncé concert hair..it is in no means sew into your scalp and go on tour with Beyoncé so you can be swinging it and shaking it etc. or simply... this is hair you giggle in, not laugh out loud in. I would have been so grateful.
