A gentleman from this company "cold emailed" a few people in my department a few weeks back presenting himself as part of CanSIA, which is an organization that helps govern and regulate alternative energy solutions in Canada. The exact title of the email was:
Re: (CanSIA) The Canadian Solar Industries Association New Campaign
After showing a little interest in the "lead and marketing email list", I began to recieve multiple calls daily and emails continuously flowing into my inbox (3-4 daily). I tried to politely deter this individual by saying things like "cool your jets" and "If I need your services then I will call you". Today I get another round of emails asking when we can speak about what he wanted to talk about.
This company is supposedly all over Canada, but they are nowhere to be found on Linkedin or the BBB where I tried to file a report against them. They are also not involved with CanSIA, but rather have developed an incomplete list of solar installers and integrators in their surrounding area.
If you are contacted by Media Edge Inc, I would highly suggest that you block the contacts, delete the email and never look back. Sales is about being relentless I understand, but when someone asks you politely more than once to stop correspondence, then it should end there.
Since the company is not registered anywhere of influence and validity, I decided to take this moment to let the entire world know what they are getting into.
