I was called by this company her name is wendy lawton i was told that i was approved for a loan of 7500.00 and just like other people that i have read i had 3 options i chose the western union one i had to send a security deposit of 555.00 to get the loan and once they got it i would receive my funds within 2 hours. So i waited 3 hours and checked my account and to my surprise nothing was in there so i called wendy back stating that there was no money in my account.she said oh they are having a problem processing right now and it would be in there first thing in the morning.i checked when i woke up nothing was there (i gave all my paycheck to them for the security deposit might i add)i called wendy back and there was another lady i cant remember her name she had a Tennessee accent though.i told her what was happening she said ok ill go check she comes back stating oh the lenders what another 555.00 for collateral.im like ummm that was not apart of the contract i signed she said that was the only way i would get the loan.i said that i wanted my money back they said ok you will receive it by mail by august 14th i still have not received it.then i call the 1 855 number and its busy people like this that pray on people needing money are disgusting...
I almost fell victim to these scum bags, thankfully I wised up and did some research first, but the lack of research on this particular company is what ultimately led me to almost trust them, so I wanted to put as much information out there about them so someone else wouldn't make the same mistake.
I applied for a loan for $5000 and was shocked when they came back and said I was approved for $7000. I have pretty crappy credit and was shocked to get approved period, but to be approved for more was pretty great. I called the representative back, her name was Wendy.
She told me that I could get my money, all I had to do was sign some documents and choose one of the three choices available to me. 1. get a co-signer 2. use my car title as collateral or 3. put down $450 as collateral.
I started to get a little suspicious at this point and began to research the company. When I pulled up the information on how old their website was, it was 5 days old. There was no information on the company itself, it obviously had just been created.
I decided to call her back and pretend to be ready to go through with the loan. When I initally spoke to her and told her that the $450 collateral would work best for me, she told me that I could use a debit/credit card to make the payment. When I called her back to "make the payment', magically the only way I could pay was through money gram. This set off a huge red flag for me.
I later called her back and told her that I was unable to get to a money gram location and asked if there was another way to pay. I was curious to see if they would offer other options, because I knew no legit company would only offer one method of payment. She told me no, that was the only way.
I backed out of thes and now I'm glad I did. I must have been one of the first victims, because there were no bad reports on this company when I was researching, but now I'm able to find some people that got ripped off by them.
Meadow brook credit resources offered me a personal loan of 12500 dollars if I sent them 675 dollars through western union. I did and they called me back saying my credit was no good and I would not be getting a refund. I then contacted the police and other authorities. I want my money back.
