Received a very real looking bill for $25.88 for calls to calgary canada. The landline with at&t has all long distance calls blocked so these calls could not possible have come form our house. At&t confirmed no long distance phone calls can be placed form our number.
I just got billed $10.86 from MCI. We were not even here when this “call” was made. Yes this is a scam. Beware!!
Got a bill for $126 for a phone call made from my home phone. Obvious issues were - 1) we have unlimited free long distance with CenturyLink, 2) the bill came to our home address but the HOME phone account has a PO Box on it, 3) it came in my name but our account is in my husbands name. The thing that made it almost look real is there was a real call for the same amount of minutes but to a different phone number. DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!
I received a bill with the same story as above. It was obvious to me that this was not correct. I don't use MCI or Verizon. I verified that this is a Scam through sites like this one. Today I received a past due bill referencing the first bill. The letter threatens that I will never have access to the MCI / Verizon network unless i pay the amount over due. I need to "call 1-800-226-0014" to resolve this.

My family has had the same number since 1974. Yesterday I get a bill with my name on it. The question is, If Fred used the phone would he get a bill. It is a scam.
Received a Bill from MCI for calls made from Jan 2018 -April 2018. The Bill says MCI a Verizon Company from Jacksonville Florida. Total charges $290.93. I have no idea what any of these numbers called are and the Phone number listed on the account is a land line I had with ATT 6 years ago. I currently do not have a land line or had one since 2014. The number listed for Billing inquiries is 1-800-226-0014 with Hours of Operation Mon-Friday from 9Am-5PM. I have called the number several times and only get a message stating this is Billing Inquiries please leave your name and number and we will get back with you. Believe this to be fraudulent activity to scam people out of money.
