This is a seasonal restaurant at a major league baseball stadium in queens. Certain employees aren't welcome here even if they get hired. Reposting because the original review posted in April got removed out of nowhere on a jobs review site. I guess revealing the truth does hurt.
I would not recommend anyone works here especially if you learn slowly. Barely any attempt is made to give you more hours not even any chance at occasionally helping in the front of house just to help get you by. They don't care if your suicidal, no care at all. This is the only employer to give you no hours, which is enough documented evidence I can send to ny department of labor and nyc for possible discrimination.
You're insulted and disrespected. First 2-3 weeks you have part time hours then it goes down to nothing if they don't like you. There's favoritism here. Management doesn't listen. I may take my concerns to New York department of labor soon. Head Chef (Mike Szu aka Michael Szu) may disrespect you time to time and talk about you behind your back.
McFadden's is seasonal and every other week. Mainly slow so your hours are limited even further. Favoritism is obvious here.
This is an equal opportunity employer so I felt welcomed initially HOWEVER their ill intentions are hidden. Management is ignorant despite bringing up issues. I've basically been ignored and I have witnesses and proof about this.
For slow learners to learn faster here limiting their hours not only trap them here but also may make them even slower. No attempt was made to give me more hours regularly. I even explained how to improve hours. Very clear they can't do a simple task in working with how fast or slow you learn and how you learn. Barely an attempt is made.
This is a real and honest review originally posted in mid April 2019 or so by a real employee. I've remained professional and will continue to do so. Not sure why they deleted the review. I'll remove the review when things improve. I wanted to update the review to be 5 stars but they're not proving to be welcoming to all here. Any attempt by them to get me to remove this review may be mentioned here. Looking to post good review updates once good attempts are made by them to make it fair.
