MBW Furniture is a terrible company to do business with. Our furniture showed up after 16 months, damaged, and they will not repair it as promised. Their service and commitment to customer service is substandard at best. We have been dealing with the owner, Basil Halta, to which he has personally committed to providing superior customer service. Since our furniture has been delivered nearly 3 months ago, and promise after promise, it is still not repaired.

I strongly recommend that you check into their business practices.

I left my position at MBW Furniture on January 30, 2017. A final invoice, for my hours worked during the previous week, as sent that day. It went unpaid despite numerous notifications to Mr. Halta and his accountant.

I finally received a response from Mr. Halta, saying the invoice would be paid the week of February 5th. It was never paid.

Repeated emails notifying Mr. Halta, and his accountant, of the past due invoice have been ignored. Payment is clearly being refused out of retribution for me leaving the position.

Buyers BEWARE. This company has unscrupulous business practices and has a tendency of increasing and changing prices to their benefit. Our first order with them resulted in the delivery company leaving our package on our front door in the pouring rain. Our second purchase, was a plant stand. When the package arrived, they ended up shipping us a Presidential Desk instead, which came in 4 separate boxes. They shipped the wrong item. When they did sent the correct item, the delivery company too also it on the front porch without ringing the doorbell. Our third purchase was from eBay, but soon after our purchase we realized we could get the same item for 1/3 the cost. When we asked for a refund they charged us an additional 10% more than what eBay's policy was for a "restocking" fee. This is our fourth and last purchase ever. It took them over 6 months.

When we first purchased it we got it in writing from them for a gold color mahogany end table.

When we did not receive any word from the company regarding our order, we called them. They told us they did not see the notation made on our invoice for the gold selection. They then told us that custom colors required an additional fee. When I mentioned to them that their website did not disclose that information and that the invoice I received from them mentioned what was agreed, they refused to provide me what I purchased. They said it would be and additional $205 more and wait an additional 20 weeks before they would be able to get it to me. Their website had the same product listed at $100 less. When I brought up the price difference to them, they changed it on their website and stated it was an error. I paid the difference, and waited. Now its December 2016, 6+ months since I originally ordered this furniture. The furniture arrived broken. It was packaged wrapped thinly in cardboard including the legs individually wrapped, strapped on a pallet. As we carefully unwrapped the nightstand, the backing came off and guess what? The furniture is made of plywood, not Mahogany as it states on their website. I provided photos of the shotty craftsmanship on Yelp.

I'm in the process of requesting for a FULL refund. Others who have had similar experience as ours have mentioned how awful it takes them to give a refund, some have waited over a year and other have had to take them to small claims court. I will provide an update here if we do not get our refund in a timely manner. We have given them many opportunities to redeem themselves, but have been treated unscrupulously. I would warn others to make the same mistake with this company.
