I purchased an S2000 Honda on Ebay from MB Collection - Boca Raton Florida. Jason, the salesman to whom I spoke, told me that the car was in super great shape, no rust, etc. The car was a shear pleasure to drive. That it had a rebuilt status, but it had been repaired so well, that you just could not tell where it had been damaged. He required the money for the car and transport be paid upfront before shipping it. He also required the money to be sent via bank transfer. I did not know at the time that if the money did not go through E-Bay channels, the E-bay guaranty did not apply. He said $1,100. would get it from Florida to Washington State. But after a week, the car had not left yet. So in order to expedite the shipping, an additional $200. would do it. Effectively, the car supposedly was picked up within the next few days. Two weeks later, no signs of the car at all.
I tried to reach the transport truck driver, but he did not reply. Finally, after leaving a message, the driver called back. He told me that the police had removed his truck from the road because of unpaid tickets. I asked him where the car was? He told me that it was in New Orleans, and that he was putting it on another transport. A month later, I threaten to have the police look into it. He then got another transport to pick it up. The transport company required me to pay the total fee, another $1,350. all over again. This new transport company picked up the car in MIAMI Florida in a motel garage. The car was a total write-off the driver told me. They actually washed it before bringing it to Spokane where I picked it up. The car looks like someone took it for a joy ride in the woods as if it were a 4x4.
It is dented all over, and not small dents, quite sizable ones. Scratches are everywhere on every panel. the front bumper ripped in numerous places and hanging by a thread, the inner fenders ripped off, the undercarriage dented and bent, the convertible roof ripped in 3 places, the passenger door paint is flaking off, rust in many places. The car is a total write-off. To add insult to injury, at first, the engine would not turn over. But when we succeeded to start it, It knocked on the crank. If there were any legal recourse against this fraudulent company (MB Collection) I would be willing to team up to prosecute them. The car, I paid good money for, would cost more to restore to average than it is worth, not even considering the price paid for it.
