On October 4, 2020 I purchased 4,825 dollars worth of furniture from Mattress & furniture express. My furniture was delivered in different days I was promised. However, I NEVER received an ottoman that came with the couch I purchased. I contacted Amrit the owner of the company and he told me I would have to purchase it separately despite being told that the ottoman was included in the transaction. After verbalizing my concerns Amrit looked into the transaction and was able to prove the ottoman was INCLUDED in my purchase.
He said he would get it out to me in a few weeks. A few weeks became more weeks, then months, to a year. I have YET to receive my ottoman. Aside from that, I purchased a dining table, within weeks the table started peeling off and I began having concerns as well as a broken chair that I notified him. He promised to replace the chairs and table for me. I was promised a few weeks. A few weeks passed by and nothing. I decided to reach out to realize that Amrit was purposely ignoring my calls and text msgs.
When I would call with my phone number he would decline my calls and go straight to voicemail. I would utilize a different phone number in which he would answer. It was evident he was ignoring me. A few weeks became months, and now a year. I was forced into paying for this furniture within 6 months or I would be charged a percentage fee which Mattress express failed to notify me.
I still paid the amount, however I was notified a day late of this fee and was charged an additional THOUSAND dollars for furniture that I still HAVEN’T received.
I contacted Amrit about my concerns and he brushed me off, ignored me and redirected me to Wendy. ust so Wendy can also ignore my calls, texts and use the same excuse that it might be due to delivery delays. A year worth of delays? This company just keeps making excuses for themselves and taking the money of innocent people. I was promised good quality, real wood but I got the opposite, my bed is bark, not wood. I told Amrit I was going to notify the BBB, his response was " I don't care, do what you want".
