My car has not received the 41-44 mpg adveritsed for a new 2014 Hyrid since I purchased the car at Mathews-Currie Frod
in Nokomis, Florida. This is my 3rd new car purchased from this dealershio in the past approximately 10 years.
After 3 service visits to this Ford dealership, I was advised by that dealership to file a Lemon Law Report. I did that.
On the very last visit, the dealer kept my car for approximately 4 hours - drove it 17 total miles and claimed I was getting 38 to 44 mpg - quite revealing for 17 miles driven. I have that information in file and in writing.
When I questioned the previous year's class-action law suit against Ford about their mpg claim, the government made Ford lower their standards and then one of the management employees accused me of a conspiracy theory for questioning this
action by Ford - I have then in writing as well.
Fast forward, Ford Motor Company has called and agree to have a Ford Engineer inspect my car at the dealership. After waiting one hour and a no-show, I left the dealerhsip. The dealer (Mathews-Currie) simply told me they basically knew nothing of the schedule and/or service and /or loaner car that was suppose to be present for me - neither happened.
Ford Motor Company has since called for another service appointment by one of their Engineers but, Mathews Currie Ford told the Ford Motor Company representative that they would have to find another dealership for me, that they were too busy to accomodate me and didn't have the space. This was about a call three weeks in advance. Interesting.
I then called the Mathews Currie servcie department for a routine oil maintenace service and I quote. "oh you can come in any time next week, we are not busy, all days are open". I politely made an appointment for 9am on next Wednesday. I guess the management and service departments should speak to each other about their so called responses to customers.
Since then, I recieved a call at home from the Service Manager at this dealerhsip telling me I was no longer welcome in their dealership and if I came, I would be removed from the property - yes you heard me correctly.
This is a terrible decision by a big dealership who thinks they can do whatever.
Beware. After numerous calls to the owner, I recieved no return call from him.
