I learned about Yishun Math Pilots and Dr. Kuznetsov from Internet. I was excited at the beginning but later on I changed my opinion about Alex and stoped going there. Let me explain.
My son needed help with a culculas class in his school, so we decided to visit Alex Kuznetsov for support. We attended him for about 8 times and stoped. Why?
My son noticed somthing strange about Alex's way of teaching. When my son didn't understand the concept of particular topic, Alex would make him go to a website https://www.ixl.com to read about culculas and practice some drils. His tutoring protocol was like that for about 5 lessons of basically self-studying via website.
On the 6th lesson my son kindly acked him for personal assistance. When Dr. Alex took a pen and a paper to solve particular math problem, he could not solve it correctly??? from multiple attempts.
After that point I started goin to Math Pilot Centre with my son and observed how Alexander Kuznetsov worked with his students. He appears to stay calm and speak quitly with monotone. He doesn't interact with parents much and keeps his distance (for a reason). I also noticed that all students were working through the same resource (https://www.ixl.com) without asking many qustions.
So, when we came home, I decided to check information about Mr. Kuznetsov's credentials and found many contradictions in his educational background. Also, I contacted Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology to ceck if Dr. Alexander Kuznetsov really obtained his Doctoral Degree in Mathematics from there.
When responce from Russia reached me I wasn't surprised at all. They never heard of this guy before and this institution doesn't hold any oficial records of him. Customer servise officer from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology advised me to contact Singapore Ministry of Education to investigate Mr. Kuznetsov local activities in order to avoid scam and bad reputation abroad for Moscow's IP&T in the future.
What I found aslo interesting that no one from Math Pilot's students was able to replicate the same results as Alex Kuznetsov's son in mathematics.
Is it really true story, or it was a scam advertisment to bring new customers to the Math Pilots at Yishn? Where is the official proof, besides of Facebook picture of Ivan standing next to the whiteboard holding some folded paper in his hands, and his father's public clame on social media?
If Mr. Kuznetsov lied to us trough local newsparer about his educational background, then why not to spread a tale story about tremendous success of his own child in mathematics?
If you think about it, it makes sense to create a myth about his exceptional knowledge in math because of his Doctoral Degree, and then advertise his son as a mega achiver in math at such young age, so people would belive him and be attracted to his newly opened tuition center in hope for a miracle...
Also I found some interesting facts about Alex regarding his activity in Russia before comming to Singapore. It seams that this guy has a different story for different country.
For russian people in Russia, he clamed to be a Medical Doctor (MD) (Specialist-Pediatrician) that graduated from Sechenov's Medical State University of Moscow. He advertised himself there as top expert in everything related to children's health, parenting and family issues, providing online consultations via skype for money.
Unfortunatelly, I do not undertand russian language, thus google translater had limited my investigation about his native background in Russia. But any how, out of curriocity I decidet to contact Sechenov's Medical State University of Moscow for refferance to see if this guy scam russian people as well, and why he is so negative about them and Russia in general? Is the Singapore a good place to escape from issues resulted from scaming people in Russia? What do you think? I had a chance to interact with really nice and supportive russian people at both Institute of Physics & Technology and Sechenov's Medical State Universities of Moscow. I know now about www.ixl.com platform. It saved my family time and money. Finally, my son really improved in his math and became more confident with it. The IXL really works! It has been proven by better grades of my son in school.

For critical readers, I highly encourage you to contact Moscow Institute of Physics & Technology and check personaly about Mr. Kuznetsov educational background. And more important, bring him university level math problems(PhD level) and ask him to solve them in front of you using pen and paper. If he is a real Doctor of Math he should be able to solve correctly math problems of any difficulty level.
