I drove from California to Nevada and met him at what is believed to be his home and purchased the vehicle. He advised that he could help with title transfer and registration because after purchase it was discovered that the vehicle did not have a Catalytic converter which is required in California.
He expressed that he has a business in Missouri which is where the vehicle was originally registered. The state does not require a smog test and he would allow me to use the business address which has a 2 year tag purchase at a lower cost. He stretched out the title and registration process over a couple of weeks and then finally said it was done.
He sent me a picture of what is believed to be paperwork from the state showing the vehicle was transferred and a picture of the new tags. He said the person in Missouri would mail them to me. More time past, with several follow up calls and no paperwork. Finally he said the person mailed them to him instead of me but they were in his mailbox but he was in California.
He promised to mail them upon return. Well....more time past, several follow ups, then said close frien in hospice and spending last days...more time past. He said on 3/31/22 that me mailed all documents and they should be received within 2 business days. Here we are no documents and it appears he blocked my number. Please, Please don't buy a from him and if there are attorneys out there looking for victims please contact me.
