I had a very unpleasant experience trying to order an exhaust kit through Maryland Speed.
First, they had incorrect information on their website regarding the correct exhaust kit for my car. I had to look up the correct information and correct their mistake.
Second, the President of Maryland Speed, Branden F., used some very strange customer service tactics.
(1) He tried to make it seem like he did me a favor by listening to me correct the misinformation on his website. I had to tell him the correct exhaust system so he did not accidently send me the wrong one based on his mistaken information and he told me that he was doing me a favor by allowing me to order an exhaust not listed on his website. However, he did list the exhaust for my car on his website, he was just wrong about which one fit due to ineptitude.
(2) He withheld critical information regarding shipping and ordering practices and discounts. When you are looking at his website, he will live chat with you and offer you a discount. What he does not tell you is that discounted orders are ordered in batches. In other words, if no one else orders the same part as you for a month or two, then you will be waiting a month or two for your part to ship. Even when you ask about shipping time, he will not offer up this information. It only came up when I asked to cancel my order.
(3) He threatened that I would never be able to get the part I wanted if I cancelled my order with him. Specifically, he told me that the manufacturer would never send the part to me if I cancelled my order with him. When I contacted the manufacturer, they were puzzled to hear that and they shipped my part the next day.
(4) He lied to me about shipping my order. He told me that my order had either already shipped or would ship the next day. However, when I contacted the manufacturer, it was revealed that he had never put in my order so he knew that it had not shipped and would not ship the next day. Thus, he directly lied to me about shipping my part.
(5) He argued with me when I politely asked to cancel my order within the guidelines of his cancellation policies. He did eventually cancel my order, but only after I had to resort to saying that I would have to dispute the transaction with my credit card, citing his cancellation policies.
What it boiled down to is that when I was simply trying to get an update on shipping time, the President was so unpleasant that I had to cancel my order instead because dealing with him left such a bad taste in my mouth.
This is the first time in my life I have ever felt compelled to write something like this. However, that is how terrible my experience has been with Maryland Speed. Please reconsider spending your hard earned money at Maryland Speed.
I ordered 2 items. (1) slp loudmouth exhaust for 2004 pontiac gto on october 23 2017 (2) slp loudmouth headers for 2004 pontiac gto on november 28 2017. Branden continues giving me the run around on my order. However ive called slp directly and they told me they have the slp exhaust in stock and ready to ship. The headers are discontinued. I call every week and only get a voicemail. When i send an email wondering when i will receive my products, Branden emails me back saying that i should have a tracking number soon. Its been over 3 months and counting. Branden claims they do not offer a refund. This is totally ridiculous and unacceptable.
Maryland is a bunch of crooks. I've had parts ordered for 3 weeks. They still haven't shipped and I can't get anyone to call me back or e mail me back. They said they won't refund my money.

Ordered parts that after 16 days never shipped and after many lies on when they would be there and when I canceled promised to refund three different times. I finally had to get the charges reversed thru the credit card company to get my money back. Stay far away from this guy. He is just a middle man looking to rip people off.
I wish I had looked at the BBB page before ordering. My order was placed on March 5, 2018. Today is 12/5/2018. Still no parts and still no $ back. As of now I am out $1450. I did get an email from the Maryland Attorney General's Office. Brandon had a court date scheduled for 12/4/2018. I hope they throw the book at him. This ass needs to crawl back under his rock, or better yet, the state of Maryland provides him a rock to spend some time under.
Ordered set of Kooks headers and exhaust system for 2006 GTO Feb 23, 2018 (over 7 months ago) and am still waiting to receive the parts. Repeated calls and emails do not go anywhere. Very frustrated with this shop!
I order Air intake from this website on May 30 2018, since then I haven’t got my order! i been calling, e-mailing several times no help!!! customer service no idea what happened to my order I asked they lady on the phone to give me the address she said no!!!!
Actually she hang up the phone!!!! I keep asking then well can I get my money back since you guys didn’t process my order? Still no help!!!! People need to Aware of this company!!! I’m still fighting to get my money back!!!!
I ordered a part that was supposedly "Special Order" that would take 6-8 weeks to receive. I have been waiting 5 1/2 months and have never received anything. I have been told that it is shipping next week many times over the last 2 months. BEWARE do NOT let them get your money. You would be better off flushing your money down the toilet. The credit card company is no better, they will not stand behind their users to dispute anything as long as the business has a letter on file saying it is special order.
