Maryalice Norton Reviews

Maryalice helped sell a house I had in Southborough. The house was to be sold in as is condition. She did everything she could just to get the sale done to benefit her. She went around with the buyers knit picking the house even though it was as is. She just wanted to get the sale done she did not care whether or not it was fair she just wanted to do it quick and get her money. She might as well been the buyers realtor.

She did not represent me the seller and instead advocated for the buyer. She did sneaky things that I did not care for. There were times I could not talk to her and she would not stop calling my cell phone. She also harassed my family making accusations about them when I could not talk to her. I agree with the other review of her by another client - she is all talk but does not deliver. She does what she can to gain your trust then does a "bait and switch". She is not very nice and pretends to be your friend.

It is pretty obvious by her response to the Connors of the type of person she is. She says she has “lawyers” to refer you to…don’t believe her because she is related to the ones she refers you to – very sketchy.

The point is the Connors were not physically around so they were taken advantage of, just like I was. I am sure she will reply to this with some sort of excuse or have her colleagues write rebuttals (they are probably all her anyway under different accounts.)

She also has Trulia and Zillow take dwon negative reviews so you cant trust those sites.

Just choose someone else as a realtor that’s all.

My family and I needed to move from the west coast to New England for a new job and needed to find a house that suited our pets and newborn child. We found Maryalice online and after speaking with her, we were not just assured, but promised that she would be able to find a home within two months. Although kind and friendly, she did not follow through with any of our wishes or instructions. We gave her a number of properties we wanted her to show members of our family who are already on the east coast, which she did follow through with.

The issues with Maryalice started when we had asked her to make an offer on a particular property and instead of doing so, she made an offer on a house that we did not desire, claiming that it was a much better property and that, "as long as you make them the offer they want, you'll get it no problem." So, we went with her experience and made an offer.

The sellers signed an agreement with us and then proceeded to back out without true justification. Maryalice's "experience" caused her to somehow not include some type of clause that saw us getting our money from the attorney (who is her sister) and home inspector.

When the deal fell though, we told her to make an offer on the house we originally wanted, the one we asked her to make an offer on before she found this random listing. Since this conversation was on a Sunday, she said that she would get us to sign our release papers that day so that she could make an offer on Monday.

We did not hear from her again and when Friday arrived, we found out that the property we wanted had been sold. She never made an offer as we told her to and when confronted, she acted like she had no idea what we were talking about. At this point, we had given her two specific offers to work with, both were exactly what the sellers were asking for. Both properties fell through and again, the one house we actually told her to work with, she ignored and now it's too late.

When approaching her on this subject, she immediately became defensive, insisting that she quit and that we find another attorney instead of remotely trying to salvage the situation. She told us that we should be grateful that she drove "all over" to show my family properties before our arrival, as if this isn't her job and she doesn't get paid from doing this. She proceeded to not address the fact that she didn't follow through with our requests and didn't say a single word when I reminded her of her specific guarantee that her experience would be able to address our needs. So now, with a one month old baby, we are out of a house, forced to pay for a temporary residence, and are back to square one. We are also down $1,000 since she didn't know enough to add in some type of clause that saw us getting our money back if the buyers backed out of the signed agreement.
