Leased on to Mart Transport out of ERDA Utah thinking it was a great company . They ran my truck a month without any pay. The owner dale mart told me he does this so he has money to grab if someone breaks something . Well I ran a month and a week without being able to go home . When I did go home a few days I did not get a pay check because he keeps a month pay . No owner can go this long without pay. I was lied to about pay and fuel surcharge . Was told the truck gets 100% of the surcharge . He said he takes it off and then puts it back on. This is not the case.
They take 25% of it. And when you get tired of the bs and tell them you are done they will leave you with no money and cut your fuel card off . Even though they owe you money. My 2nd truck they only sent me one rate con on that truck in 3 weeks . When I told them I need every load sheet that truck pulls . They have changed the rate cutting over 2000 off the top of a load . I caught this when they said my truck was in the negative. When they were wrong. The owner is a wanna be mob boss . They talk a good game but lie at every turn. The owner dale plays like he is there to help . But charged my buddy 2900 to take a load 500 miles . Because he was sick .
He took over half his money even though he pulled it the furthest . The load only paid 3.00 a mile he charged over 5.00 a mile . They claim they are family well this may be true because family will rip you off faster then a friend . They left my driver in a bad way with his family in a homeless shelter . Would not send money for his family . Told me well he can get 300 a week . Wow is all I could say. Well they topped that off by cutting my fuel card off after I pulled a load to Salt Lake City for them to return their rental trailer . I had to go home on a wing and a prayer . This is a real crappy way to operate a business. And they are holding over 20 thousand dollars of my money. Left me broke going home.
Stay clear of this company . When I asked for 3000 to pay my driver because his family was in a bad way . The owners wife told me they were strapped because they just paid insurance . How can anyone operate a business this way. Broke . Anyone thinking of doing business with this company be aware run as fast as you can . The words we are family is enough to turn you away . You will only take home 3000 a week after your month without pay. After 11 grand in gross rev I only took home 2900.00 this is a rip off. I found a great company paying 7000.00 a week after all exp. I should be very happy here . Looking at mart transport safety record with DOT it's no wonder the insurance is over 400.00 a week . One drug bust on DOT record with many out of service reports . This is all public record . Look for yourself . Now they are threatening to not pay me for 30 days . This is I'm sure there way of building up money they don't have . If I get my money they owe fast I will change my thoughts on this site. I have been trucking for over 30 years never In my life have I seen the likes of what they are doing
