Look, if you read this & still make the decision to do business with this woman then you're crazy. Marsha is a property manager and manages a few different properties in the lewisville, colony area. My husband and i rented a home from marsha, even after reading the negative reviews because we work in mortgage and figured the reviews were from upset ,angry tenants who didnt uphold their agreement in keeping the property in good condition and/or clean properly when they moved out. I now understand that was not the case at all. Marsha attempted to not only keep our deposit for her having to paint, redo kitchen cabinets, replace all carpets in the rooms, replace blind fixtures..But a ton other things. I went back & forth with her bc we had just purchased a house Which is why we moved out the rental) & we really needed our deposit back. It was over 1k. To make a long story short, if you feel like you deserve your deposit and she is taking advantage of you, talk to a professional about your rights as a tenant. Although we needed the money, it was more the principal of letting her know she cannot treat honest, good people like this and get away with it. I actually read a outscam from 2008 or 2009...On this website from another woman. She was expressing the same exact things marsha had done to her. She was asking what she could do about it bc marsha had taken advantage of her. Well im here today to say if you know and have proof Pictures, pictures,pictures) that youve properly maintained the property and she is still trying to scam you...Seek legal advice. With that being said...I got my deposit money back. :) people...Just save yourself the stress & rent from someone else. If you're foolish enough to think you're exempt from the wrath of this woman...Then do yourself a favor. 1. Take lots of pictures before you move in. She will give you a move in check list. Write down evrything you see. I dont care if it a dot on the wall. Write it down 2. Make sure she gives you a signed copy back, acknowledging shes received it 3. Save all text messages. Dont call her..Text her. & save voicemails. 4. Do a walk though when you move out. Make sure she signs it and acknowledges she has received it. Dont do this on the day you move out. Do it like the day before and get a copy the same day.Do not allow her to "mail you a copy" or any other bullsh**. Get a copy right then when youre both present. Good luck and i truly hope this helps someone.
