On February 20, 2017 we purchased our 7-piece Palliser sectional and ottoman with a Guardsman Extended Warranty from TJ Wall at HTmarket.com online for $4,293.00. After trying out sectional sofas locally, we selected Palliser’s Riley collection because of its comfort and quality as shown on the showroom floor. This was NOT what we received.
Shortly after delivery we filed a complaint with photos to HTmarket.com concerning the poor construction of our furniture including 1) extreme leaning of inside recliner, 2) many lumps on upper portions of sectional pieces, 3) very hard seats with little foam resiliency, 4) pilling of poor- quality fabric. We were told by TJ Wall that nothing would be done by Palliser even though there is a 5 (five) year warranty on their furniture. Keep in mind that we are a husband and wife team, not overweight, extremely easy on furniture, and are an exceptionally clean couple.
We contacted Bobby at Palliser and were directed to manager Tammy Menard who requested photos and details of issues which we emailed to her. She agreed that there were definite issues that would be resolved by Palliser after their Christmas 2018 holiday. We have saved phone messages from Tammy stating Palliser wanted to make us happy with our purchase and would repair our sectional.
The downward spiral with Palliser and HTmarket.com continued with promises and no action. We were told repeatedly by TJ Wall that our sectional would be repaired but we needed to file a claim with Guardsman first so we did but soon after in January 2019 Guardsman rejected EVERY issue stating damage was not under the terms of their protection plan.
Since then, we have had dozens of emails and phone conversations with TJ Wall at HTmarket.com with continued promises and excuses for the delays but still we would be taken care of by Palliser and HTmarket.com. Now it is June 2019 and NOTHING has been resolved! The timeframe we have waited is ridiculous and a poor representation from both companies. No one should have to suffer like we have waiting to repair a broken-down sectional/ottoman that should have been serviced and “fixed” a long time ago.
