I am not sure about your experience with markethero but let me share my experience after recently signing up for his hero academy email consulting program after watching his youtube video ad. After two frustrating days of dealing with thomas emmanuel, i have come to one conclusion: please stay away from alex becker, market hero, and hero academy.
Alex becker through his youtube paid ads entices you to a free webinar where he offers his "amazing" email consulting training where you will start making money. He also makes the claim that you can get your money back if the program doesn't work for you.
What he doesn't inform you is that you only have 24 hours to get your money back and after those 24 hours, his terms of service requires that you go through the entire 4 week program, mandatorily join his facebook group, go through his labyrinth of a customer service protocol in "solving" whatever issue you are facing... In other words, he will make it impossible to get your money back. When you don't or simply refuse to do that, his cronies Thomas, thomas emmanuel or whichever alias they choose from billing) will tell you due to terms of service he will not honor it.
Now this is typical bait and switch tactic that ftc and any state attorney general would be interested in pursuing this as alex becker has quite a laundry list of scams over the years If you google alex becker scam or outscam). Again, if alex becker would stand behind his claim, he would avoid a litany of issues his scam is perpetrating.
Again, stay away from alex becker, thomas emmanuel, markethero, hero academy as his product has a long history of defrauding unsuspecting people with his phony 30 day refund policy. You will only flush your money down the drain. You have been warned.
I signed up for $1 to see what Market Hero had to offer. The way Alex made it sound is that you could essentially grow a business with hard work and doing his steps--which I have no doubt they do work, and I was willing to take the steps--but it does require money to get going. I recently declared bankruptcy due to a massive quantity of medical bills (from cancer at the age of 30), and I did not have the money required to get the business going. It is then I discovered there is nowhere on his site to 'cancel subscription'. You have to contact the customer support reps (I contacted Kadene, Flavious Gabor, Tara Amos and Stacy Brown) to have them cancel your account. I was told my account was canceled by Flavious: I have the email and screen shot of our conversation where he says: "Hi there! Your subscription for the Hero Sales Academy has been cancelled. Kind regards, Flavius" and then later that month I got a notice saying: "Market Hero LLC Your trial is about to expire.
We hope you've enjoyed your free trial of HSA Live Stream Special. Your trial will convert to a paying subscription on Jul 30, 2018. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected]. Thank you, Market Hero LLC" So I contacted them again, and once again they told me: "Your subscription has been cancelled you should also be able to see that your $1 was refunded. Tara from Market Hero" The billing period came around, and sure enough I was charged $47. I contacted them again, and both Tara and Flavious assured me my account was canceled and I would be refunded. I was told by Stacy it would be rectified ASAP, then by Kadene it would be completed within 24hrs. Through all of this they never send any transcripts or transactions saying anything is being done. 24 hours pass, and still nothing.
Every time I contact the reps I'm told the same thing. I get to talking to Flavious again--and after we exchanged emails, he eventually came to the conclusion that it was my fault. You see, on the first email I received saying I signed up, it said 'if you need support, contact [email protected]'. In all the subsequent emails it said 'to contact support email '[email protected]'. -Which is who I was contacting the entire time, but apparently they were the wrong people. So if they were the wrong people, why were they telling me my account was canceled? If they didn't have any access to the account I was having issues with, why didn't they tell me from the beginning? I won't be getting my $47 back. And I'm sure they'd charge me next month in spite of my multiple requests to have it canceled. It's a pain in the arse, but I had to get a new debit card because I know they would have just kept charging me every month.
Market Hero support staff did not issue a refund until June 12th. on June 1st I got a notification for my refund inquiry stating that the refund would be processed with 24 hours and then the subsequent 5-10 business, which would of been fine.
When I asked why my refund has not hit my account yet, the staff said that due to miscommunication on their part, it was not processed on time but it was processed on the 12th.
When I asked for an explanation on the "miscommunication" they refused to give it ..
