Market Force Reviews

I was sent a large check and also much info. about what to do. Before I drove 80 miles to put anything into effect, I went on the web site to address the legal claims about the co. that sent this check. One little thing gave it away besides the face that this co does not sent checks!! That was the email address The legal one was different than the one the co. said was theirs. I was told by them I would get stuck with the amount I was to spent as a shopper which was $1430.

After signing up for market force with my state id soc security no and all i recvied a phone call from them out of the blue 3 months later saying they were in dire need of some assitance. They explained that they ABSOLUTLY cout NOT FIND ANYONE to do the job and that they needed a favor from ME to complete the job. so i did those things paid my money for the theater check even went above and beyond for them yet. i recived a very nasty phone call from mya who procedded to yell and scream at me about THEM NOT HAVING THE TIME and I DID EVERYTHING WRONG how ever i looked into it and she was actually lying i performed my job correctly. it was her who was starting mess so that she wouldnt have to pay for the work. after speaking to her manager he sided with her abusive way of speaking with me. I made it clear that you guys were the one begging me for MY help then yell and scream because you dont like it. after researching i found that for some of their workers they will lie and say they did it wrong so that they will use and turn in your work anyway and not pay you.

These people are a scam dont give them your soc sec no or id no

The Company sent me a Priority Mail tha it had two cheks for deposits that do not have funds. I would have to shop at Wallmart ad send the value of purchases for them without and could not deposit the cheks before it was done. Purchases Would be worth the cheks. I should make a Wallmart Store avaluation close to my house, and they would give me a salary of $360,00 dollars.

So I've been a mystery shopper for a while, it's easy work and although it barely pays (I mean, below minimum wage) and comes with no benefits and bare minimal reimbursements...I do it more for the freebies (food, products, etc.). I work full-time with salary wage, so it's really something I do on my off time and I enjoy it. I've worked in the customer service industry for years, so I know what it takes to create a pleasant customer service experience.

Ironically, Market Force does not know how to do the same even though they've managed to build a business around judging other companies' customer service practices. They seem hell-bent on making up any excuse not to pay you or reimburse you for services rendered. Thankfully it's a contract (that I'm currently trying to get out of) that should be easy to terminate. But, it's a headache trying to deal with them and their "Shopper Advocates" are complete (and excuse my French) dumb-f**king-morons that like to treat their contracted employees like crap. They act like they have chips on their shoulders and refuse to listen to any perspective other than what they believe is right. Ironically, they tend to say "sorry" quite often, but given their tone of voice you know it's insincere. Also, please keep in mind that there is no training involved in mystery shopping. But most companies I've worked with have guidelines that are so straight forward and address any issue that can potentially pop up during a shop that it's almost impossible to get a shop wrong. Not so with Market Force. Their guidelines are the complete opposite of straightforward, and even the way the company addresses them makes it seem like they are more of a suggestion than instructions. I think this is where many people have problems with Market Force. They follow the guidelines thoroughly, and then are told their shop is invalidated because they followed them too closely. This is also where Market Force gets you...by making up some random rule or instruction you did not follow that was never explicitly written into the guidelines, or was left for interpretation. Again, there is no training with mystery shopping so how are you supposed to read between the lines?

To potential contracted mystery shoppers: I wouldn't say this company is a scam...but unless you enjoy being treated like dirt and spending more money on providing services than you are paid/reimbursed for, I don't recommend working for this company at all. There are so many better alternatives out there.

BEWARE of Market Force Information mystery shopping company. This despicable company is totally devoid of morality, ethics and conscience. They will cheat you at every possible opportunity. Recently, I completed a food shop which provided a list of items from which to order. The shop's guidelines also included a “cheat” sheet to prepare in advance to be sure you would order the right items as quickly as possible without requiring addition time to read the menu board. There was no warning that the guidelines items might not be available at all restaurants.

When I ordered my chosen item, I was informed that a regular version (also on the guidelines list) was available but not the hot and spicy. I told the order taker that I would take the regular. Payment was denied by Market Force. The reason stated was that the 4 second change delayed the timing. This is absolutely ridiculous. I was still stuck behind another car delaying my arrival at the second timing point. Despite explanation and appeal, Market Force still denied payment. There are enough reputable mystery shopping companies to chose from. Stay away from this company. You have to wonder, what the financial situation is of a company that refuses to pay $20.00 vs. showing concern for the welfare and efforts of their shoppers.
