Mark Christopher Auto Center Reviews
We went down to the Mark Christopher Auto Center on 4-8-2017 to check out two Chevy Sparks, VIN # KL8CB6SA9HC786772 (Kalamata Spark), and VIN # KL8CB6SA0HC797031 (Red Spark) which were advertised for sale at $10,995. We had spoken on the phone with Mark Christopher Auto Center, and they told us to come down and check the vehicles out. After arriving at the lot at about 6pm, we met with an internet salesperson, and he did a inventory check to determine that both were in stock. So we waited for almost 30 minutes while the salesman went to find the Red Spark, so we could take it for a test drive. After a very long wait, the salesman drove up on a Black Spark, and then informed us that the Red Spark had a "Huge Dent" and that he couldn't sell it to us, and that the Kalamata Spark was no longer available. The salesman told us that he got the Black Spark off of the showroom floor, and that he would give us the same deal, $10,995, on the Black Spark as was advertised for the Red and Kalamatra colors.
We reluctantly took it for a test drive, and agreed to purchase the vehicle. After agreeing to terms, at about 9pm we were taken to financing to close the deal. While waiting, I went for a walk through their lot, and found the Red Spark, #KL8CB6SA0HC797031, and there was no dent, and no visible sign of damage. I went back into the dealer, told my wife that the Red Spark was clean, and we told the salesman that we wanted the Red Spark, not the Black Spark. The salesman went and got his manager, who then told us that the Red Spark had a mechanical problem, and that they wouldn't be selling it to us. I asked again about the Kalamata Spark, and the Sales Manager told us that it had sold earlier that day.
As of this morning, 4-9-2017, the Kalamata Spark #KL8CB6SA9HC786772, was still available online, and I did an internet price quote on that vehicle. The Red Spark is still on their lot with not a single dent. Mark Christophher advertises that they don't "PLAY GAMES", but the salesman lied when he told us there was a dent in the Red car, and the manager lied when he told us the Kalamata car had been sold when it was still in inventory. Why didn't they want to sell them to us for $10,995? Because they sent me an internet price quote on both vehicles for $12,701. Bait and Switch. They are advertising cars that they never intend to sell at the advertised price, and then attempt to put the customer into a car that they don't want, while telling lies.
