Mr. Nix offered to coat my lot for a reasonable price. He came the next day and began. He finished the following day, painted 12 parking spot lines and even got some blue paint for my handicapped spot. I paid him half the morning ney at the end of the first day, and in full the following day. He did a nice job. My lot looks brand new. He even painted the yellow poles protecting the power and water service. I would use his service again.
Mansfield Nix came to our lot and met with the owner of our dealership. He quoted us on new asphalt and seal coating as well as some concrete work. He requested that we pay %50 up front for materials. After a few days of doing very little clearing work he requested more money. By this time we have paid over $5,900 to Mansfield Nix. He made all sorts of promises about when he would show up and how he would bring a crew and get the job done.
Well Mansfield could never get a crew together and he himself could not stay on the job site more than a few hours before having to leave. He did manage to clear the ground and spread 1 yard of crushed concrete for a base for the asphalt. He then had his crew of relatives come out and seal coat the exsisting lot with some very thin sealant that did not last 6 months. After promising to come back and finish the job that we are already paid for he dissapeared and never returned.
So after paying for the materials and the labor upfront for the entire job we were left with basicly nothing. We had a lot that was half finished and had no choice but to pay someone else to finish the job.
