Manhattan Beach Venture, LLC Reviews

I saw these ad posting of obama loan forgiveness program and I wanted to know more about it. So i called the number and I got agent JOE HOUSUS, spoke withhim on 11/7/16 he ask me differnt type of question to figure out what type of loan would be good for me. Took all my personal information as well.

He made it same all good and I was excited that I would be able to start taking care of my loans. with that said he confirm what I was approve for which was loan driven plan. which would consist of 39.48 for 48 months. as well 22.00 a month starting 2017 of feb.

Not knowing that 1314.00 would be another loan being paid back to equitable appectance another third party who runs your d**n credit.

he proceeded to tell me to electronically sign forms on my email, which included some sort of contract from this manhattan beach venture LLC stating that they will start taking 39 dollars amount out of my account for 48 months soon and because of my good credit he will not charge me the extra 500 dollars lump sum to begin with, so I signed all forms he explained to me that on my credit it will show that all my student loans are paid in full through the obama forgiveness program ,

After seeing most reviews I was in shock because exaclty what these ppl who made report it has happen to me. I was so blind sited that I wanted topay my loans. I call my lender fed loan and they stated that your loans cant be forgiven under the obama program no matter what Manhattan beach venture say.

The obama forgiveness eventually will happen but that wont be until 25 years from now. Also the obama program is only for people who are teachers, non-profit organizations or if you are in government that only way it can be wipe off clean.

When i got wind of all this drama I contact the agent who stated that they are in the process of changing phone lines so he give me another agent who go over any matters. what company you kow that does that crap . changing numbers like really. smfh

Once i spoke to fedloan and FSFA they also stated to me the same thing and that no third-party should be charging you a fee to handle your loans. I then but a freeze on everything and contacted fraud places on my end to have alert to let me know if the do anything. It's free of charge if you go through it with yourlender or do it yourself. Once they knew I was aware of thee BS I will emailed every party: Manhatta beach venture, equitable acceptance letting them know i go longer want this account until i get clarity of what really going. I also mention I would be reporting them to attorney general and have lawyer contact them. Well i never got such a fast reponse from them.

I got a call from Nina Childs, Christina Cross.

When i spoke to Nina she stated that fedloan are lying to me LOL well I had to count to ten before I told her a** off.

I would advise anyone who goes through this company to be careful yes paying off your loans wold be best thing, but we all willhave these loans it not something that can just disappear because they dont have the authority to do so.

A lesson i would never forget, no matter how nice it may sound make sure you do research !!

I contacted The Student Loan Relief program to inquire about the program for my outstanding educational loans. The representative explained that I would need to qualify based on my income, etc. Upon receiving my information and explaining that I qualified for the student loan relief program to have my loan amount reduced I was told I would have to pay $39.00 and some change each month.

A week later I spoke with The Department of Education and they stated that there are a lot of scam programs out there charging individuals when the DOE and work with you to reduce you student loan debt. I then contacted The Student Loan Relief program and received poor customer service. So I hung up and called back and spoke with Sabrina Joseph. I explained I wanted to cancel the program. She took all my information and stated tht she would submit the information and currently it was not showing as a cancellation request. She stated that someone would contact me to verify I wanted to cancel.

I tried to reach someone later and got a voicemail. Then someone tried to contact me named Jamie Miller regarding my ID assigned 307581 she emailed me leaving her contact info. I emailed her advising that I had requested to cancel this a month ago, that I was at work and in meetings and just needed the program cancelled. She did not respond. Then about a week later I received a voicemail saying I needed to contact her at The Student Load Relief. I called and then told that I could not cancel, that I should have read the contract and that no one was responsible for telling me that I have five days to cancel that it's my responsibility to read all the info sent to me. I advised if you are trying to provide good customer service that should have been mentioned when the representative was explaining the program to me.

I told her I wasn't paying a dime for false and misleading representation and would take this to my lawyer before they would get a dime. I deleting my bank information and had already had my school loans deferred.

I called the Department of Education and they advised me that I should never pay for anytype of student loan relief.
