We decided to hire Rick before checking him out. A quick web search would have saved us thousands.
After giving him our deposit of $14,000, he told us he would be pulling permits and getting started immediately. Sounded great. The first day he couldnt come was due to bad weather. Permit was pulled though, no worries.
Fair enough, although it is an indoor job.
The next day? His crew had all fallen ill. Day 3, nope, now we have missing pieces that are necessary to do anything. Nothing was getting done.
I started getting concerned by day 4 of excuses, but whenever I called he answered. He was always communicating with me. He is a very friendly, affable guy. You want to like him, even as I was voicing my displeasure he was soothing and apologetic, assuring me our addition would be done before long.
I have come to find out Rick is nothing. He is not licensed, he is not certified, he is a con man. That is what he does. And he should have been stopped long ago, shame on the state of Georgia for allowing this man to continue while federal charges are pending aginst him.
That's messed up. The whole thing sucks, and I am asking that if anyone else has falled victim to this guy please post something. Please do as much as you can so he cannot keep doing this.
