This company did NOT disclose ALL product availability or non availability, services and fees associated with the magazine publisher's services program when initially solicited on the phone in October 2016. The female sales person's pitch said the subscriptions were for a 4 year term and I could pay for the 48 months in a year's time (i.e each monthly payment was for 4 months) NO additional fees or charges were to be made. I was lead to believe there was a host of categories to choose from but when I received my first notification or order, it had 6 magazines that were chosen FOR me and NOT ALL of them had a term of 4 years as was promised. 3 of them had a 4 year term and 3 others had a 1 year term. Each magazine had a certain number of issues as well per year which wasn't made clear either. I thought they all had 12 issues/year.
When I requested a change list, I was sent a list of only 17 magazined to choose from. Their website listing has a comprehensive listing with 27 categories to choose from. I found out this was for the American public only and the 17 listing was for the Canadian public only. I discovered this after talking to a customer service rep. today (Dec. 12, 2016). If that wasn't enough, the customer service rep said that MOST of the magazines on the Canadian list were NOT available now and I could call back in a week to find out what magazines were and if any others were added to this list. This too, was NOT disclosed initially. After another call to cusomer service asking when I can expect to receive the magazines, I was told up to 16 WEEKS! It depended upon the clearing of the magazines and they wouldn't be abe to tell me which ones would be cleared and when either.
Then to find out that a $20 US ($27 Cdn) fee was charged to my bank account for my account verification and after their approval, was reimbursed and put back into my bank account was astonishing! At NO time, did the sales person mention this procedure would occur either! I am supposed to receive a free Watch after making a second payment on time. Am now waiting for this. Needless to say, I have reported these fraudulent and nontransparent actions to the BBB in Florida and made reports to this website and other reporting websites to help others be aware of this company's unscrupulous activities.
