I would give zero stars if it all possible. I used a gift card to purchase a magazine from Magazine Discount Center in August which was a mistake since I cannot dispute the charges as compared to a regular credit card. I initially emailed the company in November since I had not received an issue of the magazine ordered and received a response telling me that it hadn't been twelve weeks since I purchased the magazine. It's now beyond twelve weeks and I've emailed them several times and have yet to receive any communication from them. I called their phone number only to find out on a recorded message that they no longer receive phone calls and can only be reached by email. Stay away from this rip-off company! I am reporting a Magazine company who sells by phone soliciting,Readers Discount Center,over 4 years ago i was soliceted by this company to order magazines.I told the sales soliceter i could not afford any magazines at this time i recently lost my job of 22 years,they did not stop hammering sale pitches until i ordered saying i would be entered in a contest for a trip mand sent 2 diamond watches.My plan was for 3 year subscription with a two time credit charge only .Today i get a letter from a collection agency saying (Central Billing) saying i owe $803.00 dollars.This almost sent me into cardiac arrest.I immediately called this collection agency and explained i never reordered any magazines for the past 4 years.,he was rudr trying to tell me i have to pay uo.Please help exposre this crooked phone solicitingmagazine company for fraud .,please help. sincerely Pat of wood river,Illinois
