Review This Company Before You Purchase A Vehicle!
We ordered a food truck for our catering business in Connecticut from MAG Trucks from Missouri and were told not to worry about the miles or condition because it would be completely refurbished by them. Trusting them was our first mistake we made. After said work was completed it would then be turned over to MAG Specialty Vehicles (MSV) for a custom build.
We spent in excess of $100,000 for this vehicle. We were told that it would take approximately 6 weeks to complete. This Food Truck was ordered in March of 2014. Knowing that it probably would take longer we planned on June as a delivery date. After much aggravation with the unprofessional staff of this company our truck arrived at the end of October 2014. We lost the whole season.
Upon arrival of our food truck, the head light was hanging off, the ABS light would not shut off, the Check Engine light was on, an empty tank of gas along with retread tires, the driver was suppose to go through the truck with us and explain how everything work, knew nothing about the vehicle. The cost of this truck being delivered was over $2,600.
We did not expect a new truck but did expect that it would be road ready. IT WAS NOT ROAD READY! We called daily to see what we should do to get these repairs taken care of and were told that the truck was under warrantee and to take it to any FREIGHT LINER SERVICE CENTER. We dropped our truck off in early November, the cost, over $10,000 in repairs. Too many to mention.
MAG Truck/MAG Specialty Vehicles referred us to as “difficult customers”. Our original dealings were with JOSH ZOLOTOR, the one who told us it would be completely refurbished and soon turned over to BLAKE FULTON, a principal of the company. These young men have no clue how to deal with customers.
Mistake number two, BRAD CARLSON the custom build out (kitchen). When the truck arrived there was damage to the ANSEL System, we were told to find a handy guy to” bang it out”. It was brand new we should not have to “bang it out. “The freezer and refrigerator would not turn on, the water would not dispense into the sink, the stove oven was not converted to propane gas, the beer taps would not work at all, the GLYCO unit leaked fluids, and the majority of the inside lighting did not work. We have since found out the we have an electrical issue.
As usual with this company WE THE CUSTOMER WERE EXPECTING TOO MUCH OF THIS COMPANY, and therefore, were “DIFFICULT CUSTOMERS”.
We have a case pending with the Missouri Attorney General and have hired a private attorney to represent us.
DO NOT PURCHASE UNTIL YOU HAVE READ REVIEWS ONLINE AND CALLED THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE OF CONSUMER PROTECTION.
P.S. Our repairs to date have cost us in excess of $11,000 and we are still having major problems.
