Just like many others who I have read about on the internet, I have fallen prey to a scam by LUXSTYLE Int. I don't know how they got my information, but I was sent product that I did not order and sent a bill which stated that I would need to pay $100.00 in the next 14 days to avoid collections or late payments. Through many emails to the company (during which I asked for proof of my ordering said product and asking for key business information), I was given nothing but replies that I was not complying witht their option of returning the product (at my expense) for them to close my file.
This must be how the company makes their money. Whether the information was keyed in by you or not, they are able to send you a package that they say you ordered (as you must register to find out any information on the product--- I looked this up after the package mysteriously arrived at my house) It is only after you put in your information, you find out how much the product costs (which is highway robbery) and you get an email saying that your product is being shipped to you. I had the foreknowledge to not give my real name, real address and I did not register at my home IP address. This was the only way to find out how they run their scam, was to scam them myself.
So, on how they do it. You see, this is how they make their money. They send you a package that you did not order and your only options are 1) mail it back to them at YOUR expense 2)not pay it and incur late fees and they threaten collections and 3) file a fraud report with your local police. Well, most people don't have the time or money to do the second or third option, and this is what they are hoping for. But on principle, since I didn't order it, I refuse to pay for it to go back either. However, most people don't have the time to do any of the options, so it's just easier to pay the invoice, maybe try the product and hope for the best that this entire thing just goes away. This is exactly what they are hoping for, that they make it so much work for you, that you just pay the invoice to avoid any further bother on your part.
Even when you do tell them that you contacted authorities and filed fraudulent charges against them... they do not close your file. They then threaten you with collections, even though the product has a 60 or 90 day money back guarantee if for any reason you do not like the product. So my advice to you if you get this shipped to you is file a complaint online, one with your Better Business Bureau, and anti-fraud agency. Then email them and tell them you were unhappy with the product and want a full refund. There are scam alerts and poor reviews ALL OVER the internet for this product and company. Look them up and you will see!
I too have fallen victim to this. Wanted to see the price so stupidly entered my details and next thing you know they mailed it to me. I offered to send it back if they gave me a replied paid address and they refused. I have no intentions of paying for it now. They can threaten all they like, they are a joke.
I have sent complaints to the International Consumer Protection & Enforcement Network and also to the Danish one. I am pretty sure they don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to getting money out people when they unlawfully send good without consent.
I am in a 'battle' with these people at the moment. As stated before my wife only looked at the product, but no means did she ever order it.
From day 1 of receipt I have informed them the product was never ordered and offered to return it (at their cost, why should I pay return fees for something that I didn't want). This 'wasn't possible, I had to pay for return AND I was held responsible as well if the post lost the package, excuse me?. Needless to say I refused.
Long story short, I have contacted them FIFTEEN times now, stating the exact same thing every time plus sending them the EU and UK regulations that they're breaking. Clearly they're no bothered. In Denmark, where this company is registered, a general case has been started against this company because of it's business practices, is anyone surprised? Contacted the European Ombudsman as well awaiting their reply if they can help me fight thesescandalous money grabbers. If needs be get a solicitor on board. They won't get one penny from us.
I'm scared of not paying the invoice.. also scared of sending it back only for them to tell my they never received the package. Are they actually capable of calling collections on us?!? I thought i was the only one going through this. I emailed them how ridiculous they handle business. Facebook shouldn't be advertising a company like this, consumers will assume it's a safe site when in reality they it isn't.
I'm currently a victim... most likely will file a police report if they force me to pay them. Just a question, are they still forcing you to pay up? How did you settle this case? Any help appreciated thank you..
Omg this scam thing is madness never heard about this before just got this product through post I never order this or looked at any make up online.im not responsible for this come and collect it from bloody Denmark for all I care!how dare they steal my details of my address !!!!very pissed!!!
Feels like hitting your head a gainst a brick wall
I received a email, yesterday saying final chance to avoid legal action, I really want to take legal action against them, but how? Everyone of us has the same story, so we have all become unknowingly victims, I have complained to the Denmark Obudsman, ACC here in Au. Accc has a warning out against LuxstyleInt.
All I have been advised is "it comes under unsolicited goods" meaning we didn't order the product so it can be seen as a gift & do not have to send it back. Anywhich way you turn with this company they have a counter measure. I really feel that they are trying to use scare tactics, by threating us with debt collectors. HOW DO WE SHUT THEM DOWN?
they are rip offs. i didnt buy any product. i just lookednat them, they didnt let me see the prices until i have entered my adress details and when i saw price was ridiculously expensive, i closed my browser and shut down my laptop. all for them to send me a mail containing invoice of what i didnt order. thieves
I have only made one order and paid for the item. Subsequently they sent packages which I did not order and enclosed invoices to ask for payment. How to deal with them? Appreciate any suggestion.
They send a product to you which you have not ordered and dont want. Prices are high for shoddy goods and service but then you have to pay to return the items.
They threaten you and add late fees if you dont pay for the goods you didnt order !
LuxStyle is a huge scam. They will ask you for your address and email before showing you the prices of the goods in your basket. Then when you exit the page, you will get an email confirming that order. I made this mistake of browsing their site as I saw it on Facebook. Not once did I "confirm order" or even enter my credit card details. Then a few weeks later they will claim that they sent you the products (which I did not receive) and they will demand you to pay for the "invoice" which is ridiculously expensive. And if you refuse to pay, thy try and make you sign some "legal documents".. AVOID THE SITE !!!
i just received an order with an invoice of $84which i didn't order and i won't be paying.Creepy how they got a hold of my details.... should i contact my bank to avoid paying it? I am not paying to send this back to denmark...
Dear All Victims, Please help to report your fraudulent experience with Denmark Consumer Ombudsman since business address is in Denmark. and please report this to your local Consumer Protection Center. So they could work together. you can google search for "Danish Consumer Ombudsman" the contact number and email address will be on their web site. Thanks
