Wow were do I start back in January 2015 I started working for Luther Logistics at first glance I really thought this was Heaven sent the account was 2 miles from my house ,home nightly off every weekend and boy did Jordan Luther put on the sales pitch , I was hired flew to Michigan was there for about a hr and grabbed truck and off I went , needless to say this was the only time I met or seen anyone from Luther Logistics telephone was our line of communication . So I ran this account for 11 months and never missed a day . Ok about this account it was from Reidsville N.C. to Covington G.A 700 miles a day in a Daycab 5 days a week .
My very first conversation with Jordan Luther after I started was can I do it legal and I explained with traffic in Charlotte NC and speed limits I can't do it legal before I took the job he said if I couldn't do it legal he would relay the trailer to me but after I started I was told to make it look good on paper until he could figure something out well 11 months later nothing was figured out and everytime I brought it up or the safety side of it I was threatened with my job , him saying things like he didn't think I was the person for this job , fast forward a couple months and alot of lies later in Oct of this yr 2015 , South Carolina was flooded thru out the state mainly in Columbia my travel path to Covington GA going this way made it 756 miles a day to cut out the traffic on 85 between Charlotte and Atlanta but back in Oct I talked to Jordan telling him I couldn't do it due to safety and once again I was threatened with my job , so I hung up on him cause after you have ran 3800 miles a week in 5 days and never wrecked the truck you shouldn't be threatened for trying to be safe and legal .
So he called back being Mr Nice guy begging and making more promises/lies and I fell for it and took off to Georgia it took me 17 hrs to go and make the turn and needless to say it was a drop and hook .
On the average day it took 12 to 14 hrs to just drive this route but in November of this yr I was fed up with the lies and threatening me . I was promised a raise after 3 months , then 6 months and finally got it after 9 months of being pushed to run illegal 35¢ a mile want that great , I was promised paid holidays I never got paid for any , I even serviced my own truck all yr and washed it was promised to be paid for that and I never got anything but lied to . But in Oct my Dad had a stroke , we found out my 1 yr old nephew had cancer and I had a baby coming in December ,,,So on Dec 3 my first child a little girl was born and everyone at Luther Logistics knew for 9 months but Jordan Luther had promised me 2 days off after she was born , the morning after she was born I started getting text from dispatch on what my ETA was to Covington GA , so this didn't go over well with me nor my family , so I wanted to know what was the ETA on the money I was promised , the ETA on the time off I was promised , and I was telling them I wouldn't put my CDL at jeopardy to run illegal for anymore , so I was fired and hounded all day by Jordan Luther to turn the truck in less than 12 hrs since my daughters birth , so I did and since this time they have took money and want pay me what I'm owed and here it is Christmas and I was there top driver with 3800 miles every week and you see how I was treated cause I finally stood up to them and this is the short version alot happened in 11 months but Drivers and Customers stay away trust me , cause they will tell you anything just to get you in there grasp .Experienced drivers start at 35¢ a mile , no payed holidays and garbage for insurance .
