Similar story to other commentators. I ordered a 'free' trial, was unable to purchase without checking a box to enter credit card information. Received the trial size, don't know what was in it but it sure wasn't what was being shown on their website. Nice enough but nothing startling. Checked my credit card online and noticed a pending charge for $85.97 which I was unable to dispute because it was still pending, so I emailed the company and cancelled it (unable to get through on their phone lines, what a surprise). Charge went through anyway, so I disputed it and merchant responded saying I had agreed to a subscription with NO product to be shipped for 45 days, after two monthly payments. I don't think so. Dispute is ongoing. Big rip off and product doesn't work as claimed. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Scam

Same as all of the rest of the complaints. Ordered trial size and got charged on my card for $89.97 and 85.97. Called company offered me 35% back than 50% and than 75% after I said I was disputing charges. Took 75% but called credit card company for other 25%.I was told it happens all the time with these companies offering trial size.

The lady who assisted me on the phone while filling out online order did not mention the terms and policies. She rushed me to check the boxes and did not explain the 14 day trial. They have 2 merchants under one website and ship 2 products in one shipping box. I declined and returned to sender, box was not opened to the post office & lady at post office assisted me the proper way of returning the only one box. I was surprised there came 2 merchants lunaluxe and essential skin when there was only one website the lady asked me to fill out only through Lunaluxe website. That is a deceitful and notorious practice so that only one merchant and product gets credited and refunded. Very clear misrepresentation of sales.

I am ready to testify their false advertisement about an eye bags serum or lotion got resolved and gone in 3 to 4 minutes after application. Their products are scam and do not work. Their products should not cost $90. There will be more innocent elderly victims if these multiple marketing companies that are committing fraud are not stopped to do business. Their customer service on the phone won't give you a chance to talk. She said that even if I do not open the box and declined and return to sender I would still be charged in my credit card. The credit card company Discover card give them in favor without further investigating the fraud and scam this Lunaluxe company is doing. Discover would like to collect interest charges of the credit. They are part of the fraud these criminals are committing. I hope that a class action lawsuit will start soon.

I saw an advertisement in youtube of an elderly man whose got eye bags. This company lunaluxe has this serum or lotion/cream that was applied to the eye bags. In less than 3 to 4 minutes the eye bags was gone. The advertisement was so bold a free trial to pay shipping only of $4.95. I called the number and a lady assisted me to fill out the order form. I was rushed and compelled to do it fast. She simply told me to check the boxes, "I am paying the shipping charges only", she said. The lady on phone did not explain the 14 day trial. My understanding is that if I do not like it, I can keep it. I do not have to do anything. As soon as I checked out, another product pop-up a facial cream and another $5 shipping only.

I used the products and it did not work. had I known the 14 day trial, I could have called them right away. However, the shipping and email order form was sent to me without the terms and policies. Then the following month, they sent me a notice that my order will be shipped soon. I said, I did not reorder and please cancel it because your products do not work. They insisted to ship it but I declined and take it to the post office without opening the box. That was the only time they sent me the terms and policies via email. Another trick and fraud they do was charged me with 2 merchants through only one website.

They shipped 2 products in one box and charged my credit card with 2 merchants. It is deceitful and notorious practice so only one merchant and product gets refunded. I am ready to testify that their product does not work, false advertisement and misrepresentation of sales. Their product should not cost around $90. I believe there are different multiple marketing companies who carries the same products but different label and different origins of shipping in the country to make it hard for the authority to catch them. There will be more elderly victims to come when these notorious criminals won't be stopped to do business. Now, I am being charged for 2 months of order and with 2 different merchants through only one website ordered once. This dilemma I am going through is very obviously fraudulent committed by these criminals.

I was drawn to this product mainly because it was supposedly endorsed by the television show, "Shark Tank", stating that it was the ONLY product ever backed by ALL FIVE sharks. Glowing reviews followed, with an offer of a "free trial" of the 2 products for only the price of shipping. Wary of this type of offer, I scanned the ad/offer until I was satisfied that I was only giving my credit card information for the shipping & handling costs. The offer further stated that they were very low on stock, and that this would be the last day of this offering. I might add that there were also testimonials and photographs of Oprah Winfrey, Sandra Bullock, and Ellen DeGeneres as well as other celebrities. I was gobsmacked when yesterday (8/09/2017) I received an email from LunaLuxe stating that my order for $94.94 was ready to be shipped. I immediately telephoned and stated I didn't intend to order any more and to please cancel. In a short time, I received a second email stating that my order was cancelled.Today (8/10/2017) an email came to inform me that an order had shipped to me shortly after midnight. I returned an email, with the times and dates of yesterdays correspondence, which clearly shows I cancelled before shipping time. They replied,"Our records indicates at the time of your cancellation products have already reached the fulfillment center, and you received a USPS shipping notification once USPS had a tracking number available to you. Your account with us is closed. "In a telephone call to my bank today, I learned that there is not one, but TWO separate charges from this company. One for $94.94 and a second charge of $91.94, totaling $196.88.Telephoning this company is futile. Every question is answered with , "I do apologize for that but...yadda, yadda, yadda", obviously scripted. Same for when I asked for a supervisor, "I am in charge...." . I INSISTED on speaking with a supervisor, and got pretty much the same runaround from her, who said her name was Keisa. She eventually informed me that they do not accept returned merchandise and have no intention of refunding my money. I’ve been back to the website where I placed my order and still see no place to check that I’m over 18 and agree to the terms, unless this shows up AFTER giving my credit card information, which of course I don’t intend to to again. This is underhanded at best, but it’s surely illegal. I hope that I’m not taking the time to write all of it out here if you can’t help. From the numerous complaints I see ahead of me, it seems to be grounds for a class action suit, in which I will gladly participate.

I order the product on 07/18/2017 and recieved it on 07/22/17. For a week I tried the product and didn't showed changes as other women said they saw a difference within days.

I called in on 08/01/17 to cancel any orders coming to me and it was canceled. They have no 30, 60 or 90 days gurantee.

To me it was 11 days because I received it on the 22nd, which of course they say it counts from the date it was order, the 18th. How is it a 14 day trial?

First concern the (14 day trial), second no gurantees, imagine that, and third, I was charged a large amount after the effect of canceling. I noticed it on my bank statement it was taken out on the 2nd.

Not very well throughly explain either on the internet or by phone.

Same story as other complaints. Suppose to be free trial and then 3 different charges shows up on my credit card: .99, 4.97, and 89.97. Called and spoke with customer service representative who offered 30% refund, and could not provide documentation that I agreed for auto ship of product, along with to pay full price for trial product. Ask to speak to superverisor, and she offered 50% refund, but again stated could not provide documentation that I had agreed to their terms.

I encourage everyone to report their business practice to Federal Trade Commission, https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov.

I did receive 1 package from them but never opened it, sent it back immediately. Never received anything else from them. I called them up to ask for my money back and was told this could not happen. I told her I sent the product back and she said they could not accept it, that it would be mailed back to me. So far, have not seen anything back from them. The operator also said she could not refund my account but would cancel the subscription. Tried to offer the product at 50% off, I said no, just wanted my money back.

Tne operator also told me that at the time of the trial offer, there were the rules which I neglected to read. She was quite huffy with me. I am not rich by any means and cannot afford to lose this kind of money. I will not trust any other "free trials" again. I feel so stupid for trusting "Shark Tank".

I received an email telling me that the product would be shipped. I called the same day to cancel shipment. I was told that the product had not shipped yet, and given 2 cancellation codes : C3627999 & C3628001. I was told to call if the products were charged to my credit card and I would be provided a refund since the products did not ship.

I received an email confirming my cancellation. The next day, I received an email stating the products had shipped and the $94.94 plus $91.94 were charged against my credit card ! I am amazed that Shark Tank would align their name with such a shady company. This is no way to do business !

I ordered Luna Luxe skin care on line after hearing it was on shark tank. The product did nothing. I sent an email to cancel, it was returned as address unknown. I called their phones, 3 different numbers, all say they are disconnected. I had to cancel my credit card so as not to be charged going forward. Shame on them.

Don't get scammed - DO not order the free trial - from Lunaluxe / Letoile - The shipping for $4.99 is not the price you pay - after 14 days they will charge your credit card $89.97 for the what they say is the full retail value of the sample!

I ordered a sample of aan eye cream and a face cream - The brand is Lunaluxe and was advertised as a new product that all of the SHARKS had invested in and I watch that show and thougth it was a good recommendation. They also show other users as Oprah and Ellen again another good recomendation. So I thougth for less than $10.00 I would try it. I got two very small bottles of the products- which made sense they were samples. I had 14 days to contact the company if I did not like the prodcut before I would be entered into an auto- refill program. I liked the smaple product and thought I would give they product another month and let the auto-refill go through. I saw the charges on my credit card and thougth - ok they are on the way - when they never showed up I called the company to inquire. What I found out shocked me. After the 14 days if you did not send back the small trial products they charged your account what they called the retail value of $175.00!

I am so disapointed with this company and the scam they are pulling - If it such a good product why do they have to mislead people? I did call them and they pointed out that it is in the fine print that I agreeed to when I orderd the product.

I called and they said I could cancel my account - which I did and I asked for a full refund - They said not possible _ I asked to speak to a supervisor and was reluctantly transfered - I spoke to the supervisor and she told me the same thing _ I asked to speak to her supervisor _ I have been on hold for 46 minutes and do not expect anyone to pick up -

Hopefully this post will help someone from making this mistake!! Really unbelievable that they can get away with this - my next stop the Better Business Bureau.

These product are terrible!!! It left me with red spots all over my face. It didn't do anything it claimed to do.

Ordered a free trial of LunaLuxe Eye and LunaLuxe Skin on 7/7/17 but had to pay shipping which was $5.97 and $4.97, respectively. Items were delivered on 7/11/17. On 7/24/17, my bank account was charged $85.97 and $89.97, respectively.

Called customer service and they said I had to notify them within 14 days so that is why I was charged the full amount.

They said I checked a box stating I was over the age of 18 and agreed to the terms. They said this box had to be checked in order to give my credit card info. I did not check any box and I did not see any terms. They are very misleading.

I wanted to return the product but they would not accept any refunds. The customer service rep said she could offer me a refund of 35% which is her employee discount. I asked to speak to a manager and she said her manager would only give me a 25% refund and I should take her offer or get nothing.

I asked the customer rep how long they have been in business and she said since the 1980s but she had only worked there for 3 years. I asked what was the name of the products they sold and she said they sold a product called Zyntyx (which is a male enhancement drug).

I told her I was going to call my bank and she said to go ahead. They are just going to remove the charge and then add it back on once they talk to them.

The products weren't worth the $175.94 I was charged. Customer Service was horrible!!! Don't waste your money. Stay away from this company. It is a SCAM!!!

Buyer Beware: If you order a "Trial", you are being led to believe that you are ordering a trial size. But you are really subscribing to a monthly subscription to pay over $85. for skin care and over $89. for eye care. The subscription is hidden in the "Terms" at the very bottom of the page. So when you click the box that says you are over 18 and that you agree to the "Terms", you are signing up to pay every month. This is shamefully misleading and makes me distrust the company as well as the product.

I did call customer service when I learned of the charges to my credit card. They were extremely rude and when I asked for a supervisor, they put me on hold for a short time then hung up. This happened twice so I do not believe it was a mistake.

I consider this a ripoff because the Trial order process is intentionally misleading by hiding the subscription in a place where you would normally find the rules for using the website.

Shame on Shark Tank Shark, Barbara, for allowing this to happen.

Avalure, luna luxe and nuluxe. Free trial turned into being taken for 205.94. No legitimate customer service, numerous internet and listed physical addresses and numerous company names. Had to close my account and get a new card.

  • Jul 21, 2017

Did not realize I agreed to any "free trial" to be followed by automatic shipments...this is a scam! Cancelled going forward but have charged me $95 for a small bottle which I tried to return.

  • Jul 13, 2017

I ordered a "trial" size product of Lunaluxe skin cream from an internet ad on 06/06/17 I paid $4.95 plus $.99 for the trial. On 06/19, my credit card was charged $89.97. I immediately called to find out why and was told that since I did not call within the 14 day "trial" period so I was being charged. It was then, I was informed that I had authorized a monthly shipment of skin creme. I was offered multiple disounts to keep the account but I immediatley cancelled it.

The people they have answering the phone are extremely rude and argurmentitive. They stonewall you when you request a supervisor. They tell you that they ARE the supervisor and you will not get any satisfaction from anyone else there. They place the blame for any misunderstanding on you, the customer, for not reading the whole website and seeing that you are obligating yourself to a monthly shipment.

I assumed the charge of $89.97 was to pay for the next jar of cream that was being sent, but that was not the case. The $89.97 charge was to pay for the tiny 1/2 ounce jar of creme I had received. Even if the creme preformed miracles on my skin, I would not do business with this company.

I tried going through my bank to resolve the issue. That got me nowhere. Buyer beware!!! This is one of those predatory sites "other" people get burned on. It's a shame that I will be afraid to do business with a legitamate company on the internet because of this experience.

6/20/17 I contacted my bank to dispute the charges for merchandise I did not order. To no avail, the Lunaluxe Customer Care Department informed me that if I had not cancelled the order witihin 14 days of the placed order I am liable for the products. The sample order was placed 6/2/17I, but I did not order anything other than the free sample of which the company sent the eye cream as well as the moisturizer. The items arrived in the same package, but I was charged for two separate shipment items for the so called free samples.

This is definitely a scam and I feel this matter is a fraudulant charge.

It is greatly appreciated if any guidance or retribution information could be offered in this situation.

Please feel free to contact me for further documentation necessary I may offer.
