I am also a victim of Luminary SCAM. I ordered the trial product for cost of shipping. The charges appear under "Nutraslim" and "Nutra Youth:, which I believe is another scam. Nothing that states Luminary in charges to my bank.
I want to ship product back and get refund (almost $300) but am told by customer service rep and Supervisor that company is not accepting any returns of product and no refunds. Closed my account and offered some free product.
What type of regulations are on this type of misleading advertising? Why are they allowed to use different names on bank statements? Preying off of people. What a SCAM. Also ENVYRX does the same, EXCEPT they say they will accept return of product and will refund my money. That will take several weeks.
I also ordered free product for the cost of shipping, and they had nothing about the 14 days and the full charge that was coming. I called twice to contest it and when I asked for a supervisor the 2nd time, I was offered 75% refund. I said I wanted 100%. I was very kind and said "Please refund me the full amount." The man took a deep breath and agreed!
Yes, I should have known better. I fell for the "pay only for shipping" scam and ordered Luminary face cream and Luminary eye cream samples from this site: http://luminaryskincare.org/. The expected shipping charges came through ($4.90, $1.95, $4.95 - why three? I don't know.).The two samples were received in a strangely unmarked box. Two weeks later, the charges for $93.87 and $93.79 appeared on my visa from "Agelesseyes" and "hydroskin".
In my desperate search to contact a human, I found a number to call and cancel order, but when i reached someone, she told me that a company was falsely using their number and they'd received several such calls to cancel these orders. According to her they were not the scammers. (Dermareflexion) I don't know who to believe there.
Hoping to help prevent anyone else from this scam.

I too ordered a free trial for Luminary Skincare moisturizer for only $4.95. Two weeks later, I was charged $93.87 which was totally unauthorized. I was also charged $4.90 for an eye serum that I did not order and then was charged $93.79. These charges were NOT authorized.
At the time I ordered the moisturizer I was unable to print a copy on the computer and when I received the moisturizer, there was no paperwork, no address and no information where to contact anyone. There was a San Diego phone number on the jar of cream, but got nowhere. The person on the phone said I had agreed to these terms when I oredered the cream, but this is a total lie. These extra charges were never mentioned.
The person on the phone said that I had also ordered future shipments which is also a total lie, but I was able to cancel any future orders. This is almost $200.00 fraudulent charges. Is there anyway I, and other victims, can get our money back? This is a very expensive lesson and I will not order anything else on the Internet.
Really bad business with the ultra fine small print - luckily I noticed the extra 1.95 charge the day after my stupidly placed order and called my credit card company - they suggested I also beware subscription charges and I was able to cancel within fourteen day period - I will say the customer service rep I worked with was highly professional even as she did try to get me not to cancel with a number of offers. Even got an email confirmation on the cancellation but I will be monitoring my credit card charges daily for awhile
Lesson learned again nothing is free
Real kudos to this site for supplying the information and phone numbers I needed to get this done - they clearly do not want you to find the customer service number easily
I NEVER GOT THE PRODUCT AND THEN THEY WANT TO CHARGE MY ACCOUNT $93.87 PLUS THE SHIPPING OF $10 I ALREADY PAID. PLACE IS TOTAL SHAM NOT A REAL OFFICE TO CALL THEY JUST ANSWER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HAVE NO ADDRESS. THE NOTICES THEY SAID YOU ONLY HAVE NAME ON THERE NO CONTACT INFO AT ALL! THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND TOTALLY SCREWING PEOPLE. SHOULD OF KNOWN WHEN MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY PUT A HOLD ON MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE IT LOOKED FRAUDULENT. PEOPLE ARE SUPER RUDE AND NOT HELPFUL AT ALL!! IF I FILE A CLAIM WITH POST OFFICE THEY WILL REFUND THE $93.87 WITH COMFORMATION NUMBER-PROBLEM BEEN ON HOLD WITH USPS FOR 1 HOUR ALREADY!!! TOTAL SCAM-OHHHH AND THEY WILL NOT REFUND THE SHIPPING COST! BS DO NOT ORDER UNLESS YOU WANT TO GIVE THEM ALL YOUR MONEY!!
I have been trying to find their number to cancel and any search you do to try to find their information has issues. Whether it has a link that sends you somewhere else (not them) or its under maintenance. My trail was up today and I finally got the number from my bank cause I was trying to stop the payment. Called the number which is not the same as on the trial bottle you receive. Canceled future charges, but they said it was to late to cancel the almost $100 for shit that doesn't work. I explained that it had made my face really red since day number 5 which is when I quit using it. I got a small refund, but not what it should have been. Very Shady business. NEVER GET ANYTHING FROM THEM! I will be spreading the negative word about this group.
I got charged for some crap skin creams. I gave up tryna get a refund but saw this book on a review site, its not free but its cheap so i think you should check it out www.trialbusters.com
This is a complete sham. I saw an offer to "try their product" for $4.95, so I called to order it. Now, just days later - not even 10 days - my bank called about a suspicious $93.79 charge to this "company". I wish I had checked into them earlier, but here I am today, trying to get my $$ back. When I finally got through to them, after finding that they have no website, all they wanted was to send me more of their product! I continued stating that I just want my money back, and after several tries, they say they will credit my charge card.
I'm embarassed and sorry that I fell for such a shady thing. These people have claimed that a popular TV personality, Joy Behar, was endorsing their products. I searched online and found that she has no association whatsoever with these people. The internet can be a very shady world, sadly. I encourage everyone to avoid any offers of this sort, as they are undoubtedly fraudulent.
Ordered free trial skin care by luminary. Recevied that then sends second product and charges my credit card without my knowledge. This is not right. I do not want this product, it is too expensive for me. Do not want anything else charged to my credit card.
I ordered a sample of skin cream and did not sign anything for future charhe’s to my credit card. I have disputed these charges but still out of app. 200.00 I even received an email from the company that all charges had been returned and cancellation of future orders, have never received any of the products except for the inatal sample.
Once you order samples of this for $10 this company keeps sending you product and charges you $100 for the product you already received. I am not sure how they can get by with doing this to people. I take responsibility for falling for the scam but normally companies or people do what they say they are going to do. No paper work comes with any price comes on the package. You have no way of sending it back. It is a total rip off.
It was a trial offer for $10.00.Billed $200.00 after cancelling order in29days,no shipment received!biggest scam ever.Bad business.Steer clear of this company
I ordered a sample of Luminary skin care hydrofirm cream and collagen serum for $4.95 in Sept. 2017. Without authorization, my credit card has been billed $187.66 for 5 months, for a total of $938.30. The first 4 shipments contained no info on how to cancel, no customer service #, no address. Finally the 5th shipment had that info. I called and talked to an agent named Kim Phe, #007 (joke?). She cancelled the order. I wanted a full refund as I offered to send back the unopened products. She claimed "all she could do" was a $253.37 refund.
I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, "Not available". I requested the name of the President or CEO. Couldn't provide it. I requested their address. Wouldn't provide it. All I can get is a city and zip from package return address. I asked to speak with another agent. She said no. I threatened to contact every consumer fraud bureau, BBB, attorneys general. I asked her if the co. was located in a garage!! There is a seriously FRAUDULENT company bilking gullible consumers out of hundreds!!! My mistake has cost me almost $1,000. I read some similar reports at your site, HELP! HELP! PLEASE!!
After checking my bank account online January 24, 2018, I saw a charge for $93.87 from NUBOD SKIN. I didn't make this purchase! I purchased and paid for samples of this product! No where I did I see that I needed to cancel further shipments of this product! I haven't received anything from this company since the samples arrived! I want my money back! Calling my bank and stopping payment! Hopefully it will be in time! What a ripoff company!!
I ordered luminary revitalizing moisturizer they said that vanna white used which she came on tv and said she had nothing to do with them. I paid 4.95 for shipping for sample that was suppose to be free and that was all i would get. i signed no contract to keep buying.they charged me 93.87 without my knowledge for another bottle of cream they sent me . I do not want it.
I ordered trial sample nothing in shipment when I received to let you know that you had a certain length of time to call and cancel order no phone number to contact. I finally got a phone number but they would not take product back. I did finally get a 50 percent refund. Still how do these places stay in business. To everyone out there don't buy this. I don't trust any of this kind of advertising anymore. It's a shame they have to take advantage of the public like this.
Sent out for a free trial of 0.5 oz ageless eye revitalizer and 1 oz revitalizing moisturizing and paid for the shipping on each when they were shipped together. then to find them charging my acct 93,87 twice. Never authorized any charges for something I never ordered. I call them get the run around with nothing but "I'm sorry".
On 12/8 I received what my husband said was a trial sample of Luminary's skin and eye creams. He thought it might be good for my skin. I tried the products and my eyes swoll up. On 12/26 I cancelled the products but they charged me for 2 Ageless eye Revitalizer and 3 Ageless Moisturizers, which I have never received. I was told today, 1/4/18 that I missed my cancellation date, therefore they can charge me for the product and all sells are final, NO REFUNDS! There was nothing about that or the products in the original box I received. Nor was I told that we I cancelled the products. We live on social security and have very limited funds. Because of this company my bank account is overdrawn by $150.00! We don't get paid again until the end of January.
I read the complete offer and there was nothing indicating I was signing up for a subscription for this product. I spoke to one representative and he said I could return it for a COMPLETE refund. However, I spoke to another respresentative and he said they would not accept returns. He offered to take 75% off my order which is not even 1/2 of the total charge!
They did credit my account with $70.19 which is about one-half of the 75% refund. I really want my entire total refunded as the ad that I answered was misinformative!
From a Vanna White ad, I ordered free samples of Truderm Youth and Nutra Glo Serum and paid shipping of $4.95 and $4.90. 10 days later I was charged $93..87 and $93.79 which was never authorized or even mentioned in the ad. Vanna should be ashamed to have her name attached to this ripoff. Trying to call the company, I was put on hold for 5 minutes and then cut off. This happened twice.
Wanted to try free sample--paid postage as required (they required my credit card numbers) i was uneasy about this but had ordered samples b4 w/o a problem--then the charges showed up on my credit card and my credit card company is forcing me to pay because of a clause (unknown to me) which says i agree to pay--UNTRUE--this is a simple bait and switch and it is legal i am told--what can we consumers to do about this? i am on a fixed income and $200 is a hardship for me--i only wanted the SAMPLE--what protection does the consumer have to deal with this--the product is not worth $200.00--it is .5 oz and one ounce of a face cream--a total ripoff which is why i came to you--i now must pay this charge
I ordered a sample of their under eye wrinkle cream which was free and only had to pay the $4.95 shipping and handling fee there was no mention whatsoever of any type of a trial membership. A month later I received my credit card bill and there was a charge for $93.76 when I called the company they said I had 14 days to try the product and if I didn't like it cancel the membership and I never canceled it so they charged me the membership price of the above amount. They are fraudulent and even tried to align themselves with Chip and Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper to add credibility. I called them and threatened to go to the Attorney General with their fraudulent activity and they agreed to refund my money....we'll see if it happens!
This is a scam to get $188 dollars from every woman who falls for the FREE TRIAL BULL CRAP!. The bottle is a false illusion that has less than an oz of product in it but lots of glass and deceiving design. the eye bottle has less than a half oz in it and you have to dig it out with a tooth pick cause it won't come out of the bottle. Really??? on top of that, it didn't work! If you try the FREE TRIAL, for postage only, they get your credit card information and charge you $188.00 the next month for the free jars they say are trials. I called and tried to get my money back and the woman said I could only get 35% of it back because it was over 30 days. IT WAS A FREE TRIAL with small print , not clear that you would be charged for the same jars if you didn't cancel. PLEASE DON't Advertised Free Trial, then took $188.00 out of my account for the free samples they sent. United States
I paid for shipping of a sample of their eye cream and revitalizing moisturizer. There was no indication that this was a subscription. There was no invoice with the delivery of the samples. Then a week later, there were two withdrawals from my checking account; one for $93.79 and one for $93.87. I requested a stop check on both withdrawals, but don’t know if I caught it on time. I am now down almost $300.00 which includes fees to get this stopped.
This is definitely a Scam and when I called the number above they tried to bs me that it was past the 14 days etc. So I said fine I will contact my credit card account and letting them know not to pay it’s a scam. Suddenly she can cancel order and tried giving me up to 60% off lol
I told her I wanted a cancellation email otherwise they are being reported to BBB.
Don’t understand how they can get away with saying Sally Fields uses it.
Did a nieghbor a favor , and quicky found out about the scam ....
I was doing a favor for a neighbor for the free sample and decided to double check on this deal and company . Wow , I found out "after" my ordering that you'll be charged after a two week subscription trial ( future charge amount not disclosed) to continue with the product and/or subscription.
Called my credit card company immediately there after explaining the situation and canceled my card right away to avoid any further charges or hassles from this so called "free sample" scam .
Thanks to this site and one other informing of this fraud ; saving me alot of future headaches.
I never fall for scams, but I saw a segment that showed Joanna Gaines uses the product, so I thought it must be ok to order the free sample. What a scam. After I was charged for the free sample I researched and saw that Joanna Gaines does not back this product and is trying to get her name removed.
I ordered a free trial of their product and they charged my account an additional $93.87 and tried to charge my account another $93.79. It is a total scam. They are using Sally Fields name to promote their product. I called them and they said they would cancel my account and refund my money. Apparently these people use different company names and locations. Beware and do not order any free trials of this product.
I purchase the Luminary skin care products which was advertised on the in, for $4.95, a free trial. Within two weeks of receiving it my card was charged $93.79 and $93.87. There were no indication that I was signing up for additional products. This is one of the worse ripoff going right now.
I too had fallen for the "free trial" offer and ordered the 2 products. When I received my email order confirmations, I found it quite suspicious that there was no customer service number or offer to cancel(not on the web either) I did a reply email to request they immediately cancel my order. I received no response. I received the product but there was no receipt inside, no return address and no phone number to call at all! I couldn't make contact until, the phone number appeared with the $93 and change charge for each product appeared on my credit card bill (also, the charges for each product are under different company names!). When I called to request a return be processed, I was met with "offers for discount" on the product(well, then why does it cost that much to begin with?!) after I turned down the selling spiel twice, the supervisor was consulted and I was told that since it was past the 30 day trial, the best they could do is offer me a 50% discount on the products. So, I'm still supposed to pay close to 100.00 for a product I didn't really want and had not opened. What a rip off!!! I will never order anything from one of these online ads again. You just can't trust these come-ons
Use the number charged to your credit card or the number on the product. Be firm with them. I insisted on a cancellation number over the phone and finally got a 75% refund. Still contacted our credit card to disrupte the 25% that they wouldn't refund.
Thought I would try this "miracle cream". Ordered a 14 day trial. They sent me 2 boxes and charged me for 3 boxes at $94+. When I called to cancel my subscription and request a refund, I was given a return authorization number. It cost me $4.00 to send it back.
After waiting and waiting for the credit to hit my debit card, I finally called. They told me that it had to be received within 30 days and I was 2 days late. That was the first time I heard that...it must have been in the fine print with everything else.
So, now I am $98 out and the product wasn't any good. I hope the owners of this shady company are proud of themselves ripping people off.
This company contacted me and offered a free trial of eye and facial cream for a shipping charge of only $4.95 each. Allegedly, if I liked them I could contact them to sign up for additional product.
Not a month later I received another facial cream and also had several charges on my credit card for several hundred dollars.
I have been forced to close out my credit card. The company HAS refunded ALL my money but I shall NEVER buy anything from them ever again.
I ordered a free trial of a skin cream. (Approx. $5.00) When I placed the order, I was offered a second product. There was no place to decline. When I placed the order I was surprised that I was charged extra for a second product. I have since received 4 charges to my credit card for approx. $94.00. I called to cancel the order and have the charges reversed. They would not give a full refund. There was no indication that this was an ongoing subscription that needed to be cancelled. I've read lots on the internet about a scam relating to Johanna Gaines from the TV show Fixer Upper. This is part of that scam.
This Company does not even deserve one star! I fell for the same deal. Pay only 4.95 for a trial size. Product came in an unmarked box without any paid invoice or any literature inside! But then..........$93.87 was charged to my Visa Card! And it says "recurring" charges. Are you joking? This is going to be reported to our News Channel and this WILL BE RESOLVED AND I WILL GET EVERY PENNY BACK FROM LUMINARY SKIN CARE. Never, never order from this Company! This is the most deceitful thing any Company can do to someone.
Fell for the extra small print trick also. Am in the process of fighting the ongoing charges to my credit card now. Be sure to read everything on the site including terms and conditions. I have also found the same product at Amazon for a very reasonable cost. The ad I fell for was with Joanna Gains selling her new product line.
i had to pay for the shipping only, but they issued me immediately [ got two individual emails] with both confirmation numbers and cancellation date.
the above phone # is part of the name shown on you charge card.
i have a notificaiton set on my credit cards that when a charge "with out card present" is made [ ie when a phone charge is done, i get an immediate email.
This is how i found out about the issue as i did not recognize the charge [ my wife had made it but did not realize it was a "trial" only]
My bank is not paying any bogus charges from these companies. They are watching repeated charges from dermaluxe, truederm, dermagedefy....... They have made up so many names, I don't know how they can keep track of their accounts! Well, they can't! But I am watching any repetitive charges as is my bank- My bank alerted me to this to begin with!????
YOU DON'T SEE THAT YOU ARE BEING CHARGED $93+ PER ITEM UNTIL YOUR CREDIT CARD IS ALREADY CHARGED. IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT TO CANCEL. GOING TO MY BANK ON MONDAY TO BLOCK ANY FURTHER CHARGES. CALLED THE NUMBER ON THEIR "TERMS AND CONDITIONS" AND THEY NEVER HEARD OF ME.....IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO CONTACT, PLEASE SHARE!!!!
I bought this product used it as directed with NO result. This product is a farse they should have continued making their show instead....now their name is mudd.
The second surprise I found when I went to pay my credit card to find a charge of $93.89 and $93.79 for two products revitalizing moisturizer and ageless revitalized. I was fuming when I called their 800 number to get it taken off. I'm happy to say they removed after hard arming them with threats of reviews im giving you now. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE? They are anFRAUD.
Tried to leave a review once before but did not go thru. Everything the previous reviewers have states is EXACTLY whar happened to me with one exception. I was a le to get in touch with a person who refused to refund my money. My chg. Account has been billed cor $310.00 for the "free trial" I stupidly ordered the beginning of June. Nowhere did it state on the form I filled out that I needed to cancel in the first fourteen days or be billed in full. Nor did they state the cost of the product. I immediately contacted visa and they blocked all futher debits from these companies and are refunding my chgs. This is a SCAM folks! Joanna Barnes is not leaving HGTV nor starting a skin care co.
I am ashamed to admit that I fell for this! I agree with everything the other reviewers stated however I was able to contact a genuine person. Was told they could not refund my money but would give me a discount. Then after I refused their "discount.", was told if I returned the product, unopened they would refund my money. At that point I knew it was a scam and did not trust them to provide a refund. Hung up and immediately called my credit card co. They told me it was a scam and would block all further charges with the co. and refund everything except the initial charges for the "free samples" which I had agreed to. For anyone who falls victem to these people, call your credit card co. Mine was very helpful in getting me out of a finacial nightmare. If Joanna Gaines is actully involved with this group----SHAME ON HER!
Luminary Skin Care Reviews
i orderd the free try products and they didn't say anything about returning the products within 14 days otherwise you will be charge the full amount.
I tried get my refund and they are not going to refund my money. This is a scam company. Do not order anything from them.
When they mailed me the order, they did not include the invoice to tell me to return the products within 14 days or the receipt.

1(800)-995-7145 Got the number from my bank when they charged my account. Best of luck they suck.
Scam
The number to call is: 888-919-9299. I got this from my credit card company who spotted the charge.

Oh yes ... Total ripoff
How do people like this live with themselves? Very well methinks.
This is a scam
Big Scam
SCAM
I never fall for scams, but I saw a segment that showed Joanna Gaines uses the product, so I thought it must be ok to order the free sample. What a scam. After I was charged for the free sample I researched and saw that Joanna Gaines does not back this product and is trying to get her name removed.
TOTAL SCAM. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM
This is a scam!!!!!!!
This is one of the worse ripoff going right now.
unbelievably bad business practice!
Cancel product
anyone...... please provide the phone number so I can cancel this order before they charge my credit card again.
Thanks
Phone number
Use the number charged to your credit card or the number on the product. Be firm with them. I insisted on a cancellation number over the phone and finally got a 75% refund. Still contacted our credit card to disrupte the 25% that they wouldn't refund.
Need to cancel order - what is the phone number
I received the "free trial" but want to cancel before my credit card is charged. Can anyone provide me a phone number?? Help
Scam skin care
I fell for the scam of this product. It also made my skin break out like crazy. I was extremely disappointed in the entire experience.
Total SCAM
This Company does not even deserve one star! I fell for the same deal. Pay only 4.95 for a trial size. Product came in an unmarked box without any paid invoice or any literature inside! But then..........$93.87 was charged to my Visa Card! And it says "recurring" charges. Are you joking? This is going to be reported to our News Channel and this WILL BE RESOLVED AND I WILL GET EVERY PENNY BACK FROM LUMINARY SKIN CARE. Never, never order from this Company! This is the most deceitful thing any Company can do to someone.
Scam on product
Ordered free sample...1stmistake. Assumed that 14 days would start WHEN received which was a week after ordering. WRONG
They go from order date. There was NO information with product regarding cancellation
Call to get the $93 plus put back on credit card due to above things! Was told would only put 50% back on card.
Hell of a way to run business and a really good way to make money off public!
Sorry to think Joan is a scammer but she is !
DO NOT ORDER FREE SAMPLE!!!!!! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!
Wish had NEVER hear of product
Beware
Fell for the extra small print trick also. Am in the process of fighting the ongoing charges to my credit card now. Be sure to read everything on the site including terms and conditions. I have also found the same product at Amazon for a very reasonable cost. The ad I fell for was with Joanna Gains selling her new product line.
how to cancel
call 800-995-7315 immediately to cancel
i had to pay for the shipping only, but they issued me immediately [ got two individual emails] with both confirmation numbers and cancellation date.
the above phone # is part of the name shown on you charge card.
i have a notificaiton set on my credit cards that when a charge "with out card present" is made [ ie when a phone charge is done, i get an immediate email.
This is how i found out about the issue as i did not recognize the charge [ my wife had made it but did not realize it was a "trial" only]
Scammers
My bank is not paying any bogus charges from these companies. They are watching repeated charges from dermaluxe, truederm, dermagedefy....... They have made up so many names, I don't know how they can keep track of their accounts! Well, they can't! But I am watching any repetitive charges as is my bank- My bank alerted me to this to begin with!????
SCAM
Beware!
This company is a total scam, they will steal your money!
They say nothing about monthly charges when you request a free sample.
They continue to debit your ACCOUNT! and say nothing about it.
I will do everything in my power and the banks power to stop these CRIMIMALS!!!
LUMINARY SKINCARE SCAM
Scam
I bought this product used it as directed with NO result. This product is a farse they should have continued making their show instead....now their name is mudd.
The second surprise I found when I went to pay my credit card to find a charge of $93.89 and $93.79 for two products revitalizing moisturizer and ageless revitalized. I was fuming when I called their 800 number to get it taken off. I'm happy to say they removed after hard arming them with threats of reviews im giving you now. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE? They are anFRAUD.
P.S. lived your show on TV.
Luminary is a scam!
Quite the scam they have going!
