Luma essence is a scam

This company get 0 stars what a scam! I was treated the same way charged only 4.95 for trial offer nowhere did it say I would be charged Like 168.00 in 14 days if I didn't cancel and they offered me a 30% discount on it after I got very angry with them ,they would not refund. Then they sent me another shipment I was told I cannot return it and they charged me another 168 .00 on my card the next month they r scams and a reputable company would not operate like this something needs to be done about them to protect our consumer rights!! Do not get sucked in by these scam artists and the product sucks to make it worse!!

I ordered a free trial of Luma Essence age-defying Vitamin C Therapy from Skin Essentials on approximately February 20, 2016. I was charged, I believe, $4.95, which I assumed was for shipping and on the billing notice, there was another $5+ charge for another product that I never asked for.

Shortly thereafter, I was admitted to hospital for 13 days. When I returned home, I found my credit card had been charged $138.05 for God knows what! I was so upset - something I certainly did not need at that time.

I cannot believe the underhanded, sneaky business practices of this company. After visiting a couple of other web sites on the internet, I realized that people all over the place have been scammed like this. I hope someone is doing something about this. I am a senior on a limited company and cannot afford this nonsense from them or any other business. I just also learned that they are advertising on Facebook so it is no wonder so many people have been sucked in. What a disgrace!

I worn you all. Do not order anything from lumaessence!

Do not give these people your credit card number, or you will be screwed over for a very long time.

They say its a free month trial but it is not. 18 days after you order they will charge you. I am Canadian but a month is usually thirty days. I was charged over two hundred Canadian. When I protested, they said I was charged the $79.00 USD I agreed to when I ordered the product. (I did not agree to any such thing. But even for the math challenged 79 USD is not 200+ Canadian. Our dollar is not well but come on..)

They will not do anything via email, you have to call them. When you do you wait and wait to speak to someone and then you will encounter a smarmy, nasty, unhelpful person who will actually hang up on you, and make you call back. Clearly their time is more valuable then yours.

I did try this product for $200+ that I was stuck for I might as well. It is not the miracle your looking for. Products at the drug store for forty or fifty bucks will do the same. If it was as good as they claim, scamming people would not be necessary. If it really worked, people would buy it.

Please, please ladies don't go here, its not worth it. If you don't believe google it and find the terms and conditions before you buy, I wish I had.

charges

I also order this free trial offer and only pay the shipping. I was ok with this but No where did I see any agreement to receive on an ongoing monthly shipment . I just received my visa statement to see a charge of $137.00 on it. Now trying to get in touch with them to cancel this order cancelled but can't seem to find any info. If anyone knows how to get some help could you Please advise. I read all of this offer carefully as I am aware of these scams that go on.

Dissatisfied and upset .

WORST costumer service EVER

I ordered the sample size and I do actually LOVE it. It works great! Only I don't really see a need to use it all the time (I'm only 26... teaching has given me some wrinkles though haha). So since I don't use it except for special occasions, I cancelled my order on Nov 23 by email. Someone emailed me back a few times before saying to call costumer service. It says right on the website that I could email to cancel at any time.

Forward to today where I check my junk mail and see a confirmation of payment from Dec 11? WHAT? So I call... go through the automated cancellation system and then I go to costumer service to deal with the money that came out of my account for no reason.

I get a mess because the first guy doesn't even know that you can cancel by email. Apparently there's no record of the email on their system. (Then who was emailing me????). He can do 50%. So I'm still paying $50+ for something that I don't want, need, and have already cancelled? Nah fam.

Ask repeatedly to a manager. Says he's off the floor. Told him I'll wait. He hangs up on me.

Call back and get a lady. She's even worse because she won't let me get a word in half the time. Says the same thing with the 50%. Again ask to speak to the manager for the millionth time. Tell them that they're stealing my money. She just says they can't do transfers.

Absolutely WORST service I've ever had! Really sucks because I would have bought it again when I ran out! Now I definitely won't! It's not THAT great to be dealing with this bull again!

fine print

My credit card has been debited almost 400.00 Canadian for products I did not know was being charged to my account.LumaEssence and Rejuva Essence. They offered a 30% refund on the 90.00 product Rejuva Essence I have not received as yet. They said I did not cancel in time to close the account. This is a rip off and many people are being duped by this unscrupulous company.

LumaEssence Vitamin C Therapy

Deceptive practices to get people to try, but then they charge you and if you didn't cancel in time, they will not take the unopened product back. A reputable company will take back product, especially if it has not been opened. If they were a reputable company, they would take back product. I will never order anything from this company again and will tell my friends to watch out for their deceptive practices. By the way, when I google Vitamin C serum this company does not show up in any ratings I found. Probably why they are so desperate to get product out and soak you in the process!
