I'm a realtor. My client locked herself out of her new home. As a courtesy, I called 24 /7 loyalty locksmith for service. I had to give credit card info in advance. Ugh. I work hard for my money, cater to my clients, and pride myself on working with reliable contractors. Because it was a weekend, we were in a pinch... so here's how it went down: 1. Two hours late, freezing cold. 2. Tech gave client a hand written paid receipt for the agreed amount. Then-Charged me double on my Amex and chicken scratched the amount to double the price. 3. Stole my identity and ran up charges, not just the tech- I had multiple frauds on my card- by their HQ in their main city of Dallas. 4. I had to have Amex issue me a new card same day as my vacation. What a nightmare. 5. Hours and hours and explaining and refusing to pay- Four months of disputing this charge, this company really thought I was going to pay for their service? I explain to American Express that if I had a cleaning lady who I allowed into my home as a guest, to provide a service, would I pay her for a clean toilet even though she stole my jewelry? I think not. Yesterday, I finally received a letter in the mail from American Express saying that they have removed the service charge from my statement. It was either that or they would lose my 24 years of loyal service to them. 6. I'm now filing a police report to nab these bastards for attempting to get over on me. Not this chick! Justice will prevail.
